Although the food stayed fabulous, without Alehandro three all the time the service and atmosphere wasn't quite as good. We were so pleased that on this latest visit the service was back to spectacular, with a new menu and great music. Love love love Cafe Ole!!!
I was looking for authentic Spanish paella in a neighborhood that is becoming more gentrified and less authentic by the minute. I found it here. The quality of the food was good but not great. The atmosphere was cozy without being suffocating. The service gets five stars: friendly and attentive. The prices are "normal" for what passes for normal these days: $17 for a cocktail. I'll be pleasantly shocked when I visit a restaurant that resists this trend.

Fantastic food! The grilled calamari was the star dish - beautifully cooked with some great flavors! As was the octopus, patatas brava and the paella valencia. Also the sangria was delicious - fruity and boozy - and went down really well with the food. Good service too. Will definitely head back for more tapas and sangria soon.
