On The 7 - Where Manhattan Meets LIC

I would not recommend this establishment based on my experience.

A friend and I sat at the outdoor seating area, which was completely empty at the time. After handing us menus, the employee immediately said, “What makes you think you can just come and sit here?” Her tone was rude and unwelcoming.

Because of how we were treated before we were even served, we decided not to order and got up to leave. As we were walking away, she said, “It’s always you people.”

I am Black female, and I interpreted that comment as being directed at us because of our race. The entire interaction made me feel unwelcome and discriminated against. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this business.

Great after work spot. Great happy hour. Bartenders are fun. Owner there often and gives it a local feel. New happy hour is dope. No brainer!

What an absolute gem this place is! It’s just two blocks from Gantry Plaza Park, and the 7 train is right outside. My wife and I were here on a Saturday night, and there was live jazz; it’s a cozy, classy vibe. The staff were friendly and took such good care of us. We had cocktails, and they were delicious. Wonderful bar! We’ll definitely be coming back soon.

I came here on Friday, the bartenders offered top notch customer service (wish i had gotten their names). No need to go to overrated jazz clubs, this place has it all in one cozy spot plus classic, fun and enjoyable high quality Jazz that I am always looking for; i found it that night listening to Benjamin on Sax & Cristobal on Bass, Sacha Perry on the Piano and Sean on Drums. Hope to hear them play there again soon!

Been here a couple of times now under the new ownership and have four things to share.

Music is legit, high level musicians.

Wine selection is really on point.

Friendly, welcoming, professional service.

And the food (small plates) is way better than you’d ever expect.

Stop by, I can’t imagine anyone not having a good time here.

Today I went for a drink was going to meet my friends there for my birthday and cancelled immediately to another spot -the gentleman who took care of us two weeks ago Saturday-by far hands on deck was amazing! 🤩 thank you! all star service!- that’s why I went today- there was old lady bartending tonight was bitter horrible she was wiping her nose and preparing drinks 🤮
I had asked about a particular drink and she was sharp and antagonistic did not let me even finish my sentence -I had one drink and left no tip she decided to continue her toxic behavior after I got my check and she said to the couple welcoming and friendly that just walked in and he said that it was his first time there she continued and said apparently “people are boycotting service” then continues to ask me what was wrong with service twice! Aggressively-I just asked when the gentleman that works there when he will be back.

I cancelled tonight there with my friends for my birthday- hard pause . For the record I don’t have to tell an old.Lady or any bartender who is a bartender how to treat the patrons. Please don’t force your patrons to tell you why service wasn’t good… when you know you were bitter 😔 I do hope you are better with your service.

Great small and quaint bar next to the 7 line this was like my fourth time frequenting this wine bar. The bar itself is very cozy and with unique decor. Besides serving many wines they have cocktails with unique names and beers. We were there for happy hour and had wine with a spread. We also ordered a charcuterie plate. We enjoyed playing a card game and stayed until the jazz performers played their numbers. We really enjoyed our night.

Really cool cocktail bar. Very conveniently located right next to the 7 stop. The owner is extremely friendly and it truly feels like a neighborhood bar. The cocktails are also really good

I love On the 7 ! Especially the chef menu from Heather on Sundays and Mondays - it’s the best thing about eating in LIC.
