“I have had Poke Crew in Englewood and was stoked to hear it was coming closer to home in Hackensack, happy to report it did not disappoint! Bowls were great, Ma got The Crew and I had the Spicy Tuna. Love the option to build your own using a paper and pen system with all the options so you can fully customize your bowl from proteins to toppings and garnishes and not have to scramble at the counter while ordering. Drinks were good too - Kona coffee bubble tea is strong and not too sweet, while the jasmine honey kumquat shaken iced tea was refreshing. Will be back!!“

updating review on 5/7 : i gave them another chance, lovely bowl. I think I was getting the wrong thing previously, the Hawaiian bowl or something, where they cooking the shrimp in a way I did not like. I got their poke bowl and it's very tasty and filling. I would give 5 stars, but to balance, I'll give 4.“

“Quick service and can see that the food looks fresh. I have been here many times before and the food is filling where you can customize your bowl. The place is always kept very clean every time I come by even when it's busy. It's off of the main Austin St so it's on the quieter side which is nice to enjoy your meal“

“I stopped by Pokeworks and ordered the Yuzu Salmon on a bed of salad greens with the lava sauce, and it was so good. The salmon was fresh, the yuzu added a bright citrus flavor, and the lava sauce brought a serious kick. Fair warning, it is actually spicy. I grew up eating a lot of spicy food, so I loved it, but it may be a bit much if you’re sensitive to heat.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, and ordering was quick and easy since it’s counter service. There are a few tables if you want to dine in, and Spot Dessert Bar shares the space if you’re in the mood for dessert afterward. I’d definitely come back for another bowl.“

“I was walking near Smith and Atlantic looking for a place to eat when I discovered Piki Poke & Ramen. The menu immediately caught my attention, and the atmosphere, paired with smooth jazz music and made it even more inviting.

I ordered the Salmon Lover Bowl, and it exceeded my expectations. The salmon was exceptionally fresh, the combination of sauces was perfectly balanced, and the avocado and toppings complemented everything beautifully. The portion size was just right and satisfying without being overwhelming.

The selection of Ramen was wide enough for me to feel lole there were options, and the customer service alongside it was great. “Amazing food and atmosphere! The portion sizes and ratios were balanced and you could taste how fresh everything was. My friends got the crabmeat with a variety of toppings and it was amazing. However, salmon has always been my favorite and I would say the salmon here is the best i’ve had so far. It was so buttery and tender. Would highly recommend checking out this spot if you have a chance to visit the area!“

“SO happy a poke store finally opened up in east village. Not only are the ingredients so fresh, but they have so many unique toppings and mix ins ive never seen else where- coconut, walnut, pumpkin seeds, after having my first bowl here I can’t go back to any other shop. And to think it couldn’t get better than this, the staff is just AMAZING. They’re beyond friendly and sweet and I genuinely felt like I made 3 new friends after leaving the place. If you have room for dessert, I highly recommend the Thai tea or coconut slush. I’m a tapioca girl but they recommended we try the lychee jelly and HOLY SMOKES I’m now a lychee jelly girl it was DELICIOUS. I’ll be back ASAP“

“I am in town for work and was on a walk when I passed by Pokebab and decided to go in for lunch. I am SO glad I did. The place is very cute. The food was delicious. My favorite, however, was Spencer the employee who waited on us. He was EXCELLENT. He walked me through the ordering process, answered my questions, let me sample a few things and offered up some suggestions on what to add to my Poke Bowl. I sat and enjoyed my meal and really enjoyed it. The ingredients were fresh and the Signature Sauce added a nice kick of heat to my bowl. As I was eating, I watched other people order and Spencer was just as friendly and helpful to everyone. He was hard working and clearly enjoys his job. I will be back because the whole experience was so great - thanks in large part to Spencer and his help.“

“From the outside, one might think this a food hall of sorts. Its definitely more of a hub for food delivery services. There were countless pickup orders and, including us, 2 other tables that came to sit and eat. The atmosphere has grande ceilings with floor to ceiling windows with bar seating running along and maybe 8 tables. There are hard-copy menus and touchscreen stations to order but the choices are countless; resulting in a time consuming firt-timer experience. There's 1 kitchen that pumps out separate restaurant menu items. The food was ok. I got a Mexican-style chicken bowl that was crossed with another restaurants curry chicken; bites here and there were different. My husband got an Asian-style chicken fried rice bowl that came out cold. 2nd attempt was saturated in sesame oil and inedible. We didn't realize it at the time but Amex Gold got rid of Goldbelly, replaced by Wonder; big mistake in our opinion as Goldbelly is worldwide and Wonder is limited to big-city access for a lesser quality product.“

“I have been going to chikarashi on and off since they first opened. The ingredients are quite good and the bowl recipes unique but the price hiking is saddening. It used to be a weekly lunch to every other week. The food is worth trying at least once.“
