The place has a great vibe. Bright, friendly, and full of energy. Everyone working there was super nice. I got an arepa with bacon, egg, cheese, and avocado and a coffee. The coffee was fine, just really hot. The arepa tasted fresh, but the egg was kind of waxy and the corn didn’t seem cooked all the way. They mixed up my wife’s order and added avocado even though she’s allergic, so I ended up eating hers too. Still, it’s a nice spot with a great atmosphere.

This is my favorite coffee shop in LIC! I go every day and have the best service. The fresh fruit juices are also nice.

Was visiting and stopped by as it was close to my hotel. Staff were very friendly, I had empanadas and an iced mocha. All tasted great!

The coffee is delicious. Staff could be friendlier but what can you expect when they probably only get paid in tips. Otherwise, how do you justify asking for 40% tip?
Edit post owner's reply:
Clearly the owner is oblivious to the not-so-subtle message here. Put more explicitly: the staff is not friendly. The many times I have been to the location, they lack the hospitality I expect when ordering more than just coffee that I am used to in many other places. After wondering why they were so rude to me and the other customers in line, all I could think was that it was due to a low salary due to the high tip suggestion. But after seeing the owner distastefully disagreeing with opinions about hight tipping requests, that are very common around the world -- simply ask around, perhpas they are upset about having bad management too. A reply to this edit would just confirm my hypothesis. Perhaps the business is hurt more by leadership blaming failure on a single mediocre review than looking for improvement from free tips.
