The pork sung bolo bun was tender, savory and fluffy. The puff pastry cake was simple, spongy and goes well with coffee. Pineapple cake was buttery and sweet pineapple. My preference is a tad more well done pineapple cake with more of a tart flavor but still good go to for them in nyc.
I went in because I was waiting for a friend to show up and I was pleasantly surprised by the stuff they had inside. If my friend didn't show up soon after, I probably would have spent a fortune here because I wanted to try everything. Will definitely come back to try their other baked goods.
One of my favorite hidden gems in Flushing. The Taiwanese Danguangsu 蛋黃酥 is one of their flagship deserts and is a must-have. Recently tried their shaved snow ice and it is so excellent. And I like all of their bakery items because you can tell they’re made with really good ingredients.

Karat Cake - Custom cake, Bakery, Coffee is a family owned bakery. The scallion bun is amazing and milk tea tastes better than most places. They have birthday cake with many decorating and flavor options. The cakes are delicious and fresh bread is restocked everyday. The coffee shop is welcoming and the customer service is excellent. They offer customized cakes at an affordable price. The bakery is a good place to support a local small family owned business. The people working there are nice and considerate. They have a two-tier cake and other flavor combos. The bakery is a wonderful neighborhood cake shop and a great coffee shop around the block.
