“Best strawberry shortcake ever! The berry napoleon and red velvet cupcake were excellent as well. If you buy a cake, make sure the box is tied properly. I had a newbie and my cake box was not tied correctly. If I carried it by the string, it would have smashed to the ground. The servers could be more friendly and not so grumpy.“

“I have been frequenting the Kookaburra Malverne location on and off for several years. The only downside is they close a bit early for my schedule and they only take cash. Other than that, this location is full of phenomenal humans. The customer service is unparalleled. Every single time that I can remember there that’s been a superb interaction with the baristas and the clientele. Today one is the baristas wishes a client Happy Birthday anniversary wishes and the client was so moved. Heck, I was moved. A couple of months ago I was here and heard a client place an order and received the order and said it wasn’t what she ordered. In many cases folks would get annoyed as they made what the client requested, but the barista was so kind and professional, but mostly so kind and understanding and she remade the clients order and offered the “mistaken” beverage for the client to take at no charge. It was such a great moment to witness. The energy in here is quite welcoming and positive. Our furry babies are welcome and everyone is treated with respect and kindness.

Working with Alison to schedule and have our tasting, which was just down right fun...(because of COVID we had to take our samples home... and she loaded us up with some extras to share with friends) to showing her our vision for the cake on the day of, and then actually SEEING and EATING it at our wedding was perfect all the way through. They really incorporated everything we asked for, and it was simply delicious!!! “Neighborhood staple, in the City, too. Pastrami, Egg and Cheese on an Everything Egg Bagel, BEC (Bacon, Egg and Cheese), and TEC (Turkey, Egg and Cheese) on Wheat. All housemade Bagels so they're fresh and ready to go. They do other breakfast items, if needed: Pancakes, Homefries, etc.

“I liked it! I got some as a gift so I didn’t visit the actual store. All time favorite thing here was the strawberry pastry (if the business replies; please just say the name of that one) SO good. I would come back for that. Fantastic. Fluffy and light and airy with a perfectly sweetened cream fluff inside. Wow.
Corn cheese bread was sooo fun. If it’s served warm; I bet you it’s fantastic but I did eat it a couple of hours after it was ordered.
The fig bread had an amazing texture to it. Light and fluffy like Portuguese bread (I did personally wish the figs were cut smaller to enjoy more evenly but that’s personal preference)

“I got their strawberry and mango croffle delivered and it was delicious! They weren't too sweet and the cream was really light, which paired well with the croffle itself. I loved the strawberry one as there was strawberry jam and the strawberries themselves were really sweet. The mango one was alright as the mangos were a bit bitter. Overall, a cute dessert spot and I would love to try their other menu items!“

They have the best bacon and egg sandwiches and their tuna and chicken salads are always a welcome sight back home. Their bagels are always fresh and flavorful no matter what variety I get.
