“I have been frequenting the Kookaburra Malverne location on and off for several years. The only downside is they close a bit early for my schedule and they only take cash. Other than that, this location is full of phenomenal humans. The customer service is unparalleled. Every single time that I can remember there that’s been a superb interaction with the baristas and the clientele. Today one is the baristas wishes a client Happy Birthday anniversary wishes and the client was so moved. Heck, I was moved. A couple of months ago I was here and heard a client place an order and received the order and said it wasn’t what she ordered. In many cases folks would get annoyed as they made what the client requested, but the barista was so kind and professional, but mostly so kind and understanding and she remade the clients order and offered the “mistaken” beverage for the client to take at no charge. It was such a great moment to witness. The energy in here is quite welcoming and positive. Our furry babies are welcome and everyone is treated with respect and kindness.

When our PTSA requested a donation for our Supermarket Bingo they didn’t hesitate for a second. 🙏🏽

So pretty I didn't want to open it. Not only can you satisfy your sweet tooth, they also have food to please your tummy! In case you have a Nut allergy, let them know, they will accommodate you. “Met the owner....he is such a down to earth person. the cookies are amazing. I love ❤️ the two that I had and would definitely be getting some more for the holidays.“

“I saw this bakery snuggled away while driving past it & knew I had to return. The inside is nice & clean. It's Filipino style desserts which is lovely. They have a large selection of dessert items to choose from.

On the weekend's they sellout fast so get here early. I had their Banana bread loaf which was my favorite of everything. It was so soft and warm, wish I'd gotten more of it.
The burnt basque cheesecake was nice & decadent. The BonBons were absolute perfection. They have a seasonal and rotating menu which always has something delicious to offer.

They have these adorable boxes to pack the food in with a colorful pink theme. The staff is kind & helpful. They have a small lot to park your car in which is appreciated. I've honestly never been to a dessert shop such as Fern & Aurora, it's a nice change from the regular ole baked goods. I highly recommend everybody to come check them out.“

“I liked it! I got some as a gift so I didn’t visit the actual store. All time favorite thing here was the strawberry pastry (if the business replies; please just say the name of that one) SO good. I would come back for that. Fantastic. Fluffy and light and airy with a perfectly sweetened cream fluff inside. Wow.
Corn cheese bread was sooo fun. If it’s served warm; I bet you it’s fantastic but I did eat it a couple of hours after it was ordered.
The fig bread had an amazing texture to it. Light and fluffy like Portuguese bread (I did personally wish the figs were cut smaller to enjoy more evenly but that’s personal preference)
The variety of stuff was really fun! Some things I did not like at all but my friends did so that was just personal preference.“

“Seriously the BEST bagels EVER!! We're from California and I grew up eating bagels and deli... there are no bagels that even compare to Utopia bagels.
Service was excellent, took a little while as it was SO busy but it was absolutely worth the wait!! Obviously amazing when locals are lined up out the door to get bagels.
We were waiting for our order and the nicest man with a New York accent asked our boys if they've ever had a fresh bagel out of the oven, we of course said No, and he gave them a fresh, hot bagel that was to die for!!
My only negative is that we don't have a Utopia bagels in California hahah! Let me know when you want to open one near me!🤩“

“We had the best experience ever with this bakery - the cake was included in our venue pricing through this bakery, and I can definitely see why! Working with Alison to schedule and have our tasting, which was just down right fun...(because of COVID we had to take our samples home... and she loaded us up with some extras to share with friends) to showing her our vision for the cake on the day of, and then actually SEEING and EATING it at our wedding was perfect all the way through. They really incorporated everything we asked for, and it was simply delicious!!! “Legendary Brooklyn baker Don Paco López has finally opened a Long Island outpost. This is the same bakery that was immortalized at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, and has a cult following for its conchas, tamales and milanesa and pierna tortas. The Westbury location is also tended by members of Don Paco López’ family so quality is guaranteed. The bread is fresh, made daily (by hand). I had an order or Bavarian cream-filled churros for a school event and they were a smashing hit. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

They have the best bacon and egg sandwiches and their tuna and chicken salads are always a welcome sight back home. Their bagels are always fresh and flavorful no matter what variety I get. “I go to Diane’s all the time for coffee and baked goods, at least once a week. I invited new moms and dads from the Roslyn school today for a gathering at Diane’s this morning to support local business. We had about 12 people. Sat outside at the patio where the shaded area was. Everybody all bought coffee and pastries. We arranged the tables and chairs in a long row so we could see each other. Later we were told by Diane, the owner, that she wasn’t happy that we rearranged her tables and sat together in a row. Why? The place wasn’t crowded with other guests. We all bought and paid for goods. I couldn’t help but thinking that because we were all Asians?! She could ask us kindly to put the tables and chairs back once we finish, which we did without being asked at the end. But with the unwelcoming remarks I will never come to support this business again. I don’t say this lightly but I felt it was discrimination in every way. I’m truly disappointed. I love Diane’s and the yummy treats but the owner was truly unkind. I share this post here because I don’t think this business supports diversity, which is a shame because this community is becoming more and more diversified.“
