“Love it here! My husband and I have been twice since discovering it a month ago. The food is really good. We’ve tried the curry goat, curry chicken, jerk chicken, and stew chicken so far. My favorite dish has to be the jerk chicken plantain cups. We also tried the culture clash and the rum punch which were both great drinks.The owner (Mo) is awesome, he’s such a friendly guy and we were engaged in conversation with him the whole time we were there on our first visit. “This place is very close to Winthrop Hospital making it a good place to go while waiting while someone has outpatient surgery. I ordered the PS Texas burger which was very tasty with nice,crisp bacon. I changed up the side and got half onion rings and half sweet potato fries. Very accomodating staff. My sister had the PS Grilled Chicken and Avacado. She wasn't able to finish it because this thing was HUGE! Very generous portions all around. She took half of it home. Since we had a long wait, we decided on dessert. I ordered the Fried Vanilla Ice cream. It was done to perfection. My sister had the Chocolate Brownie with ice cream and caramel. The brownie was nice and warm , just enough to make the ice cream melt down the side of it. It looked really good and again, a generous portion.The time we went( 1:30pm) it wasn't very crowded so we stayed a long while and were not rushed out of the place. Worth stopping in for lunch and in my opinion, prices are very reasonable for the area.“

I had the Jackpot with honey money mustard and my fiance had a chicken caesar wrap and we split drunken fries. All of it was delicious. Both of ours had plenty of chicken and taste. “My wife and I went out to lunch today in Locust Valley, NY. Last July, the LVI Bistro changed owners. Marcel has owned the restaurant for over 40 years. They had an excellent reputation and their food and serve was always high quality. This was our first visit since the change and we found it was quite good. We sat down in the bar room and was greeted by the new manager, Andrea. He was very nice and gave us their new menus. Everything looked great from the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts. My wife wanted something light, so she ordered a Cesar salad with grilled chicken strips. I ordered a hamburger with fries. Rita, a waitress from the previous owner, chatted with us about the change and was very positive. There is a new chef, who prepares the food and has a quick turnaround. Both our meals were delicious and were served hot. We talked with the manager and he told us they were going to decorate and renovate the formal dining, the upstairs dining area and the bar room area. We were excited that this local restaurant was getting some loving care from the new owners.We enjoyed our lunch time and enjoyed our experience at the LVI Bistro. When we asked for the check, Andrea brought a dish of tiramisu with two spoons. He told us the desserts were all homemade. It was excellent and was a great way to end our meal.This is a new LVI Bistro and they made a great first impression on both of us. If you're in the Locust Valley area please make some time and try the new LVI Bistro. The service, the food and the atmosphere is great for a meal with two or ten people. “3.5 Stars I haven't had a classic NYC pizza in a whileeee so we ordered a large cheese pizza. Even after about 10 minutes sitting in the box, it was still fresh and hot. It's not the best cheese slice but it hit the spot. It had a great thin crust but still held up together easily. It was light on the tomato sauce, which I actually wish there was more, but a good amount of melty cheese with a pretty good cheese pull. The crust was also nicely done. Pretty good pizza joint in the area. I'd get it again if I have a classic NYC pizza craving.“

The place is compact, they have old license plates from different states on the walls, it's a lil rustic. The menu has burgers and chicken named for all the states from Maine to California. The service was fast and they only accept CASH, no credit/debit cards. I will definitely return to try the different burgers.“

We made a reservation for 11 and were told the kitchen closes at midnight. We were running late they called us and let us get there at 11:40. They're was 12 of us!
