“Ate here while working out of town in New York, neat little old school deli with some modern twists.Breakfast menu with all the usual choices, absolutely stellar choices for the sandwich literate, lots of Boars Head sweet and smoked meats.Not so average hot lunch choices like New York style burritos (didn't even know that was a thing), large portions and pretty reasonable price points.Fair selection of bevereges from soda and energy drinks to milk and juice.Super friendly and helpful staff.Quick service.I wish there were more places to sit, with only four counter type seats I think they are losing business to the Subway next door.I would definitely recommend this establishment for interesting choices in the neighborhood it's in.“

“After hearing about the new ownership I was very concerned with changes to come with this deli and the quality of my favorite sandwiches. After meeting the owners, Chris and Mac, I can tell that they are extremely passionate on advancing this deli into its next milestone. “Thank God there are still places like this on Long Island. Old school Italian deli. I stopped by because I was in the area and read the reviews. Ordered an Italian hero with hot cherry peppers. Just delicious. Ate half brought my wife the rest. Ofcourse I can't wait for the hero to be made and not grab a Manhattan special vanilla creme soda.... and a fresh Mozz.... and a loaf of Italian bread.. lol. “I was working locally and decided to grab lunch from Wheeler Deli after reading the reviews. The deli is smaller and quaint but has a large case of Boars Head meats, salads, and desserts. I ordered an American Hero, sides of macaroni salad, and potato salad, and a piece of the banana bread. They got right to making my order and the wait time was less than 5 minutes. My sandwich was fresh, crisp, and delicious. The salads were creamy and had great flavor. The banana bread was outstanding; dense and sweet and flavorful. The total for food and a drink was less than $25 which was a great value. I’ll be back.“

“My son and I went here after I did my research to find the best delis in Hell’s Kitchen, and this was consistently the top answer. We had limited time in NYC, so every place we visited had to count, and Sergimmo’s did not disappoint. I had a Caesar salad, while my son had a Pasta al Pomodoro e Basilico. Both were great, and so was the shop owner’s treatment of us, obviously not from around the area. Next time we’re in NYC, we’ll be back!“

We make it part of our day to take a walk and always stop in for a snack or a sandwhich. Sam and his wife are lovely, friendly people and always make a fuss over the babies. The store is immaculate and the Korean food is not to be missed. The Bulgogi hero is my favorite go to sandwhich....Highly recommend !“

“What an awesome find! I was staying at a hotel nearby for one day. I was told about Sal’s deli and stopped in for breakfast and a coffee. Ended up getting a sandwich for later as well. Everything was delicious!

“The hot food here (Latin Food) is made fresh daily and it's pretty. You get a decent portion for 1 for $5. Breakfast sandwiches starting at $3 so you can't go wrong and the cold cut hero's are enormous to some really good brewed coffee. Not much on the negative to say except that it would be nice if they carried a larger variety of drink but from canned goods to cleaning supplies to house hold items and an ATM this deli has a lot to offer at good prices.“

Well - much to my surprise new owner and better than ever! The MOST delicious caprese sandwich I have EVER had, good coffee and the most delightful fellow taking care of me. I guess it was the wonderful proprietor who could not have been more delightful or welcoming. I wanted to go back in after having half my sandwich to tell him WOW and find out what the balsamic he used was. “Our go-to place every time we visit Long Island. While their sandwiches are great, I’ve gotta say that their sausage is fantastic- it’s a toss up between the hot Italian or the fennel sausage, both are made in house. Wish I had a place like this near where I live in New Jersey.“
