Had a pleasant lunch with an old friend. The food and service were great. I'll be back to try their dinner menu. The only quibbles I have is that it was a little chilly (my companion had to go to the car for a sweater) and the booth benches were so low (or saggy) that they made both of us feel like children sitting at the adult table.
REALLY good place overall, but esp the food. Fresh. Hot. Super tasty. Nuanced flavors, even in simple accoutrements like rice and beans. The salsa must have been homemade; it was so fresh and good I practically couldn't get enough. Fresh cut jalapenos on the side too. Most of all, authentic Mexican flavor; more like the south, e.g. Puebla, than border areas! I am looking forward to returning. One of my new top three Mexican restaurants in Monroe / Wayne. My buddy and I went there to eat dinner and were immediately greeted with a super friendly gentleman to seat us. Service was great. Food was great and not too dry but not dripping grease or oil. Overall great
