“Solid breakfast burritos and great tortillas, which are like gold here. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu yet, but it’s just a matter of time - the salads look awesome. I moved here from Texas a year ago and love everything about the city (except for the rent), but I do miss Tex Mex and good tortillas. New Mexican is its own cuisine and sure hits the spot while also being healthier, and those tortillas are a game changer. So glad to have found this place, just had breakfast from here, and am already looking forward to going back.“

Enjoyed a few different delicious tacos and two kinds of guac, all wonderful. Our server Sharon was attentive and did not rush us (sorry if we took forever). A bit pricey but the food and ambience are worth it. For your friends who need gluten-free dining...this menu is entirely GF and really delicious! They have some larger tables for big groups, and a small bar with 5 seats.“

“Mi amigos! This place is awesome. Went to La Contenta first but they were packed but luckily Vallarta had some spots at the bar and everything was incredible.

Tacos pescado and Tacos carne asada! Woo. I preferred the carne asada but both made me feel like I was back in mexico. All the micheladas and cocktails we had were incredible. The happy hour too is off the chain. Great prices and great service.

I can’t wait to go back and try more. The nachos were also muy rico.

“This is a hole in the wall kind of space but I had an Al Pastor Burrito from here and I see why this place is 4.8 Stars as of this review. They put LOVE into their food. Ever since I went to Mexico City, I have HIGH STANDARDS for Mexican food and I have to say that this place ranks top 5 for me in the CITY. If you are ever around in the area, I highly recommend. I will be back!“

“Where do I start? The food was on point. The tacos have a hearty feel to them. They dont fall apart and the flavor melts in your mouth. The appetizers are all good. They all pair well with the drink selections. Signature drinks are well curated and thoughtful. The ambiance is bring a friend, a date, some friends and come have a good time. Hospitality is top notch and professional always. I would definitely be back for another night on the town. Thank my cousin for suggesting this place. Cantina 138 needs to be put on the map!

“We were in town for a wedding, and this was the place where they hosted a pre-wedding celebration. The atmosphere was exciting, and regardless of the large crowd, the servers did an amazing job. Everyone had such an amazing and memorable time.“

The mole veracruzano was different, unique and strong in flavor; unlike the mole I grew up eating. The mole enchiladas had plenty of shredded chicken. Very pleased with the service too. Would recommend, stop by!“

“Had a great experience at Aleli Mexican Restaurant this place really nails the balance between elevated Mexican flavors and a fun, relaxed vibe. It’s the kind of spot that works just as well for a casual night out as it does for a celebration, especially once the drinks start flowing.

The happy hour drinks were a highlight, especially the white sangria—refreshing, lightly sweet, and easy to keep sipping. We started with a few appetizers and everything came out full of flavor: the octopus tostadas were perfectly tender with a nice char and brightness, the chicken flautas had a great crunch without feeling heavy, and the spicy guacamole brought just the right kick without overpowering the table.

For the main course, the short rib quesadilla stood out the most. The short rib was rich, juicy, and well-seasoned, paired with melted cheese and a crisp tortilla that held everything together without getting soggy. It’s the kind of dish that makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy every bite. Overall, solid food, great drinks, and a spot worth going back to.“

The lettuce was chopped which made it fall out but thats no issue- it left me feeling full and I got the tiramisu. Good balance on it and hit the spot for desert. At the time when I went there, They was only accepting Cash and Zelle, Zelle was the easy option for me to pay, the staff was very nice and helped me out with some of the food I was not to familiar with. The place is small but in a great spot for the neighborhood on the corner, This place has an ATM and seating inside with a TV to watch whatever is playing while you eat. I been back twice and I had the crispy taco bowl with steak and one with shrimp and the Birria tacos 🌮 very good“

“Experienced Tabu for the first time last night & was blown away. It was my best friend’s 33rd birthday and the service was outstanding. When we received our dinner they accidentally brought out an additional chicken enchilada, but the owner was very nice and said he wanted us to try the dish. We also had 2 rounds of complimentary shots and a free dessert. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful ambiance and delicious food.
