The dice mala chicken with chili is something i always order at every place that has it on the menu and this place definitely tops it. It's a must order. Would definitely return on the regular!“

“I have been searching for a new sushi spot close to home and, after many hits and misses, I finally visited Kiku Sushi Family for the first time. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the peaceful atmosphere and charming decor. The booth seating we received was perfect.

We were greeted warmly by two women as soon as we arrived, and they promptly seated us, ensuring we were comfortable. Our waitress, Sophia, was exceptional--attentive throughout our meal, making sure we were enjoying everything and checking if we needed anything else. She definitely added to our awesome experience. The service here is phenomenal!

The food was incredibly fresh, which is particularly reassuring when it comes to seafood. I tend to be fearful when trying new places that offer seafood.
The portion sizes for the meals were generous, and the sushi rolls had a fair amount of fish, not just packed with rice with the goal of filling you up.
This attention to quality was much appreciated!

Prices at Kiku Sushi Family are very reasonable, offering a great meal at a good price. The menu, while a bit old-school, is extensive with a wide variety of options--literally 100 different rolls and numerous appetizers, kitchen items, and more. Whether you're craving sushi, noodles, chicken, or beef, you'll find something to enjoy.

We ordered the chicken teriyaki with vegetables, the Godzilla roll appetizer, and the UFO ball appetizer. For sushi, we tried the Fashion roll, Rock 'n Roll, Hurricane, and Big Spider rolls. Everything was fantastic. I love trying new dishes each visit, and I'm excited to return and explore more of their menu items.

My only disappointment was that they don't accept American Express cards, but it wasn't a big issue--I just paid with cash.

“So I was in the mood for some AYCE sushi spots and my daughter found this spot out of no where.. it’s more south than where I am but I gotta say.. WHAT A FIND!

When we walked in we sat down and they gave us an iPad to order off from. Everything in their extensive menu is included in the Ayce! The descriptions are in a menu they provided as well.

We ordered sashimi, sushi, hot food, special sushi apps like salmon belly tartare, tuba martini, like everything in the menu is part of this AYCE. And there’s a lot to choose from. Great hot apps and entrees like some Thai dishes like drunken noodle and pineapple fried rice! Sorry for the poor photos the kids didn’t give me any chance to take nice photos of the food as they devoured everything lol

Don’t expect high extreme omakase style quality fish but overall for the price you pay @ $31pp I think this is an amazing spot to try! I really love the fact you can order off iPad so there’s no waving ppl down for the order sheet like the other AYCE. Good idea guys!

Service was great too.. being a Saturday night they were pretty attentive. Overall I’m happy w this place and I’ll be coming here again and bringing my friends who are fans of AYCE spots!

so I came back a few more times and service has been very consistent. Brought my wife and agrees with the service and the hot food quality was actually really good! Sushi quality is the same typical AYCE quality. I got their egg fried rice and hibachi fried rice and I have to say it’s probably one of the top fried rice I ever had.. simple w nice fried egg and just flavorful! Maybe I’m easy to please but it’s really good here!“

“I ordered take out party platters over the phone for the workplace this past Thursday and my co-workers and I couldn't have been more pleased. The initial ordering process was smooth. Pickup was on time at 12pm even though they only open at 1130am. And the sushi, as always, was fresh and delicious. Each party platter could easily feed 4-5 people and are reasonably priced. Everyone wants to order from here again in the future (even with work being in Westbury).“

“We have only eaten here a handful of times but each time the food is fresh for both dine in & take our. I love the 20% off when you order on-line. The staff is very friendly and accommodating allowing my daughter to customize her bento box. Tonight we took out & I left my phone on the bar. The staff held it for me in the register until I returned to get it. They definitely won me as their customer!“

“We came in on a Sunday about 8:40, well before the listed 9:30 closing time, and were warned as we came in that they actually close at 9:20. It seemed odd that it would be an issue with plenty of time to order; but apparently unlike most restaurants the closing time is a matter of when they expect you to actually leave.

Still, with seemingly enough time, we ordered, and the appetizer - soft shell crab - came quickly. Unfortunately, though it was not one of the dishes listed as “spicy”, it came with spicy mayo on top. I told the server that I can’t eat spicy food, would not have ordered it if I had known, and asked her to take it back. She gave me an argument, saying I should have told her I can’t eat spicy food. I pointed out that since they list some dishes specifically as spicy, one would assume - as in most other restaurants - that the rest are not. She reluctantly took it back, and informed us the Angel Roll we had ordered, also not labeled spicy, came with spicy mayo on top as well, so we also asked for that to be redone.

This pushed things closer to closing time, and rushed our meal a bit. But I have to say that the food was wonderful: The crab crisp outside, moist inside; the sushi fresh, and the pineapple shrimp fried rice delicious.

So despite the unfortunate attitude we encountered, this restaurant is well worth the trip for the excellent food. Just keep in mind that the closing time is not what’s listed on the website. And that it’s best, whatever the menu says, to ask details before ordering.“
