“Salam Alaikum! I ate here regularly before the new owners; I saw the new reviews and was scared to try. The portions are Only smaller because of having to order salad on the side; if you don’t put it down the portions are indeed smaller, I was also given enough sauce for two familys! Fast service; ordered online they had everything ready by the time I arrived.“

“This deli is so underrated! I can’t believe I’ve been so close the whole time and never heard of it! I decided to try after craving a gyro and was so impressed. I also ordered the bean and cheese pupusas which were fantastic. The spanish food is as authentic as it gets around here. Highly recommend this place!! Will most definitely be coming back.“

Being Greek & growing up with Greek food throughout my life, I can tell you that you will get good Greek food here.I have also ordered from them twice on Uber Eats. It's hard to find good Greek food restaurants that you can get food delivered on Uber Eats. Their portions are generous & the salad is fresh!. Their Bifteki is awesome! Not all Greek restaurants out on Long Island have Bifteki. I opted for the Bifteki (Beefteki) bowl over Greek salad! And their warmed pita bread with the seasoning on it is so good. I will definitely order from them again.“

“I have been here over six times. And have never been disappointed. Only once was there a wait time. He was extremely apologetic. But it’s always well worth it. Once you place your order, he brings it out to your car. The french fries are the greatest. Also, the best Gyro I’ve ever had. It is a must go to place.“

“I have been a fan of Gilshar's for 15 years. The food is superb, the wait staff excellent. However every time the front door is opened a large fan is activated that blows freezing cold air on people seated along both walls. Getting that problem is is a must.“

“I turned the car around because the sign said "dollar oysters." Worth every second doing so and every penny. Apparently this is a Tuesday special and if you're not into oysters, they also do clams. I grabbed a seat at the bar. Cassie, the bartender was friendly, super efficient and convinced me into 10 more oysters after my initial order of 15. They were cold and fresh, and came with all the fixings. Their mingonette was all I really needed. I saw a few other dishes coming out of the kitchen and they all looked great. A few folks at the bar got some healthy looking pours and the mussels smelled divine. Totally worth stopping in.“

“Came to write my review so fast. Chicken tacos were delicious. I got them doordashed and they were still so hot, double wrapped with a soft corn shell so they didn’t get soggy, and then individually wrapped in tin foil. I appreciate this level of care because tacos can get messy. The chicken was tender and juicy and the flavors were on point, and the tacos were filled well for the price! Highly recommend“

“We were hesitant due to some negative reviews on here to try Mediterranean Kitchen. We decided to see for ourselves!The staff was kind and dining room was very clean. We ate in and you can watch all the food being cooked right there. We enjoyed a pita sandwich, the spinach wrap, the chicken iskendar, the mixed appetizer platter, lentil soup, chicken lemon soup, and baklava. All were delicious and hot. The service was wonderful! Polite, fast, and often apologetic when he did not have to be. My wife stepped out to take a phone call and he even offered to get her a fresh soup even though it was her own fault!I bought some Turkish Uludag sodas, teas, and olives from the shop in the back too. “I ordered catering for just a small birthday party and everyone loved the food. Not only did they make ordering really easy but they had the option of delivering it. We got lasagna and Chicken Alfredo from them as well as their italian heroes. The food was delicious and throughout the party people kept asking where did we get the lasagna from. Definitely recommend if you’re thinking of catering! Thank you so much for everything. Definitely going to be ordering for you guys whenever we have parties!“

“Such nice, fresh food again this afternoon. Our waitress was friendly and professional (Ciarra) and the guys were flexible about keeping tomatoes and peppers out of our salads--THANK YOU. They used shredded lettuce as a base, which meant an extra step for them. We really enjoy the salads, their dressing really makes it. And the yogurt sauce never disappoints. Chicken souvlaki is such a favorite that we almost can't bring ourselves to try new dishes? Whole wheat pita is really appreciated by our family. Cinnamon and almond cookies are special!
