The Black Sheep Ale House Reviews
Used to frequent this spot and always spoke highly of it. Had many good times here.
Visited for the first time in a while.
It had been renovated.
I felt like the personality has been sucked out.
It was naturally a very cool spot.
Now it feels like it's trying to be but falls quite short.
I wish them well and maybe I'm just an old man but I am saddened by it's direction.
Black Sheep Ale House is such a great spot. Super chill vibe, good crowd, and the staff is always really friendly. The beer list has a ton of options and the bartenders are amazing and attentive — perfect place to hang with friends.
Whether you’re stopping in for a quick drink or staying for a while, it’s always a fun time. Definitely one of my favorite go-to places in Mineola.
Awesome spot when you want to grab a drink after work... chill vibe!

The Black Sheep Ale House offers a lively atmosphere with good music and a great selection of beers. The bar features an impressive draft beer selection, catering to both hop enthusiasts and non-beer drinkers. The warm and knowledgeable staff create a welcoming environment, and the pub showcases a collection of music memorabilia. While the food menu has evolved over time, the beer selection remains a highlight, making it a popular spot to enjoy a drink.
The Sheep is a throwback to a genuine Irish pub, with friendly and curious staff serving fantastic pub food. It's the perfect spot for a quick drink or an afternoon watching your favorite team, offering a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The beer garden is also a great outdoor option.
The owner Vince and bar manager have been gracious and generous, hosting a fundraiser for a local animal charity. Customers praise the good drinks, including a recommended Hudson cider and brown ale, as well as the nice crowd of regulars.
