“We had a last minute reservation for 8 people, and we were lucky enough to snag a table. YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE! Our entire table loved the food. From the appetizers (the warm bread, the amazing carmalized onion spread, & the Calamari), to the main courses (the NY strip steak, the shrimp, and the ravioli), to the dessert (trust me... get the bread pudding!) everything was impeccable. “Definitely biased about this place. I always love their selection of beer. I also like the dive bar vibe. Not a party place but a sit-down bar experience. There's always chairs by the bar and/or in the back. Good for dates, the music is not as loud, yet enjoyable.

“My best friend lives in Queens so she and I come to the Onion Tree every other Friday night. I wish this place was closer to me. I live in Yonkers. The food is superb, seasoned extraordinarily. The chicken is fresh, soft and cut into small bites. I always order chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, or chicken tikka pizza. I have never had food that I enjoyed this much and I have tried all foods all over the world. I never get tired of this place. And the food is served quickly and piping hot. They’re opening a second place in Manhattan. We’re getting closer to Yonkers!! The drinks are awesome too. Barbra and Louis work behind the bar. They’re friendly and great bartenders.“

“Amazing! First, there was free valet parking which is a necessity in this area. Second, we dined in a room that was quiet enough to carry on a conversation even though the room was crowded. No background music to add to noise was a plus. We have not been to a restaurant this quite in any of the cities we have travelled in YEARS!! The appetizers and dinners were wonderful and compared favorably to a well known restaurant in NYC that we had dined in the previous week. The wait staff was attentive although the kitchen was a little slow. The only minus was that I had arranged for a birthday surprise (not sure what that was but you could request it when you made reservations) and was even reminded by the owner and staff when we arrived that it would forthcoming. It never appeared.

Parking: Valet parking at night is in the LIRR parking lot across from the restaurant. The restaurant will valid your parking receipt.“

“My husband and I love DOX. Not only do we love the atmosphere, the view, the food, and drinks but what we love the most are the staff! I wish I knew everyone's name because I would give them all a shout out. Our server, whom we have followed wherever she goes (that is probably one of the main reasons we frequent DOX now that I am thinking about it), Dana, is super! She is attentive and genuinely cares about her customers. She remembers our names, what we like to drink, and what we usually order for food.
