“My job brought in Chef Samir's truck to cater a staff field day this month, and when I tell you it's the BEST lamb over couscous bowl I've ever had, please understand I mean that with my heart. Whole quartered tagine vegetables, squash and zucchini and carrots and potatoes; everything was so flavorful and the couscous perfect. The guys in the truck were incredibly friendly even while slinging food to hundreds of people. This is not your average street cart halal with a little lettuce and tomato on the side.“

“Thanks to the kind Korean cashier, my family loves shopping at this store. Even my young child gets excited to go to H Mart, putting on her shoes as soon as she hears we’re going. During our last visit, I witnessed a younger customer (younger than the cashier) giving her a hard time for no apparent reason. Despite this, the cashier kept her smile and continued helping her to the very end, which reminded me of my mom. I felt sympathy, realizing how challenging that must have been for her. I’ll continue to visit this H Mart frequently. I’m grateful to have a Korean store near my home and truly appreciate the cashier who always greets us with a warm smile.“

The entire market has an open vibe to though conscious architectural details, and feels designed equally for permanent neighborhood residents and for transient students, the casual passer by and informed foodie crowd. Truly “glocal”, very much Harlem’s own, as well as Manhattan and Columbia in spirit. That’s a rare accomplishment and I highly recommend this new addition to our city.“

“I hope management read this review. The management system is very poor and needs to improve.
On Sunday, 4/13/2025, around 5-6 pm., More than 30 people wait for their food. I see only 2 staffs who receiving order and the Staff named “Ryan” is the only one who helped with customer who order food from kiosks. He’s really calm, good organized and trying to help all customers. All of us thanks him, no one blame on him for the long waiting because he really put all effort to give out food as fast as he can. I can tell he still young but if I’m an upper manager I’ll train him to run this department!!“

“Very good local deli, fresh hot foods available daily for lunch. Staff behind the counter are personable. Frank the owner is always there making sure things are running smoothly for customers. I eat here a couple of times a week and never disappoints.“
