Long Island Bagel Cafe serves some of the best bagels on the island, with outstanding bagels and foods that make it a top choice in the area. The egg and cheese on a bagel and the BEC are excellent, and one visitor from Australia had possibly the best bagel ever with egg and bacon on an everything bagel with hot sauce. The side salads and sandwiches are also amazing. The staff is nice, pleasant, and works hard to make eating here a fine experience, though some have noted the staff looked miserable or that the place can get busy, especially on weekends. The amount of traffic shows how good it is. A common complaint is that the prices are a bit overpriced, with one sandwich and an 8oz OJ costing $16 or a BEC at $8.17 cash price without a drink. Despite this, many customers will definitely go back.
