Honestly, I can’t complain much about the restaurant itself. The food was great and service was good *while I was there*.

But the experience kind of fell apart after I got home. I was catching up with friends and barely touched my meal, so I asked for a box planning to take it home. I usually prefer to pack my own leftovers for this exact reason, but the waitress took my plate to box it in the back, which I didn’t make a big deal about at the time.

The next day I opened it and my food was literally just dumped into the container. When it was served, everything was neatly separated (even the beans were in their own dish), so seeing it all thrown together like that was pretty disappointing. It didn’t look like any care was taken at all.

Not the end of the world, but definitely frustrating, especially after an otherwise good experience.

If you’re in New City, you have to check out Fire & Cork. The surf and turf salad is a total winner—fresh, filling, and high quality. Great drinks, great vibes, and a solid menu. 10/10 recommend!

Scampi muscles were amazing. Pappardelle was tasty and my daughter ordered the bang bang salmon, which she enjoyed.

I made reservations for Sunday Brunch for 3/22/26…1 week ahead of time, for party of 6 for a Birthday celebration.
When we arrived ( 10 min early),
The hostess ( unpleasant face) gave us a look like we had 3 heads.. Likecwhat are u doing here.. it was embarrassing for my party.
There WASN’T a table for us!
ISN’T that the purpose of a reservation?
THEY SCRAMBLED to put together a make shift ..table all the way in the BACK..
( which I specifically requested that I didn’t want ..when I made the RESERVATION). It was EXTREMELY loud in there between the music, & loud drunkards around us. WE HAD A TABLE OF DRUNK WOMAN YELLING & screeching right next to us. TO BEGIN WITH ..
The water had flakes floating in it..
the waiter had to bring 6 different glasses.
The Mimosa came in a miniature champagne glass as ..other tables had large bubble glasses… barely any mimosa in it!
Everyone got their meals except my daughter,, who waited 20 minutes, & only received it when we were all FINISHED!
( it was only French toast).
The the waiter kept saying it will b here 1 minute ,, 1 minute,, soon ,, soon.
The omelette were NOT REAL EGGS!
IT WAS EITHER Liquid from a carton or powder.. not even cooked .. liquidy inside; disgusting!
We wanted to return it but, WE WANTED TO GET OUT OF THERE!
Overall ..A JOINT WITH LOUD MUSIC.. and a Big Bar.. with lots of drunk people trying to forget that the foox, atmosphere & service sucks.
Also FYI.. HIRE A HOSTESS THAT DOESN’T have a MEAN FACE! NOT WELCOMING AT ALL!
BOG DISAPPOINTMENT!
ROCCOS WOULD HAVE BETTER!

We come to Fire and Cork all the time, and it never disappoints. The Dominican–Asian fusion is what keeps us coming back — such a creative mix of flavors and everything always tastes fresh and well put together.

I also love that their kitchen stays open late on Saturdays. It makes such a difference when you want a fun night out but don’t want to feel rushed.

This is my go-to spot for a weekday get-together or a weekend night with good energy. It’s consistent, flavorful, and always a good time.

The food was absolutely delicious and filling. Appetizers were sweet chili wings (8) and so savory. Drinks were great.
