We have always enjoyed our visits to Sumo, until today. We went for hibachi, the food was good and the chef was very entertaining. There were multiple empty hibachi tables as it was middle of the afternoon. The chef had just finished cleaning the grill & we began eating our food when a waiter came around with the bill & another came around asking if we wanted boxes for our food. We usually go to Red Samurai but decided to see what Sumo was about. The food was bland, even the filet. Steak was overcooked, server was short and kurt. My daughter had just gotten over the flu, so still not feeling100%, so she asked to get the kid sized hibachi. They refused because she was over 10. Guess they preferred to lose a sale completely because she didn’t order. We will stick with Red Samurai, where the service is fantastic, the staff is friendly and the food is superior!
