I was there this weekend, the restaurant is a splendid spot with adorable decor. My only complaint is that its feels very hot inside, making it hard to enjoy the meal under those conditions. Their other location in Mamaroneck Town is always cold and cool but I honestly prefer the flavor here. I hope they can resolve this issue soon, because in the meantime, I think it's better to order takeout. I can also add that the drinks are truly excellent; The Cantarito is a must-try. Excellent food and service at a fair price!
First off, I saw the watermelon margarita as I walking up and thought it looked so pretty and immediately wanted to try it. I was happy that they were able to serve it with tajin on the rim cause it honestly made both better. The watermelon tasted like it’s natural fruit which paired well with whatever alcohol they used but the mango one… delicious. Based on the reviews, La Herradura Mexican Grill & Restaurant offers a calm atmosphere and is well spaced, making it perfect for a family setting. The place has festive decor and can move tables together to accommodate party size. Service is great, with attentive but not overbearing waitstaff. The waitress was very sweet and had no problem checking with the chef about seasoning contents.
The food is good. The Salmon all grill was perfect, with rice that was perfectly plain but not bland. The chicken uses a chili seasoning, so diners should look out for that. The nachos were old, but the empanada was very good. The Guacamole is made at the table, and the tacos and fajitas were good. The rice was sooo good. The avocado salad was good and everything in it was fresh.
The drinks are even better. The watermelon margarita looked pretty and tasted like natural fruit, especially with tajin on the rim. The mango margarita was delicious and well sweetened. The sangria tastes fresh with no hard liquor mixed. A pitcher of margaritas tasted fresh and well made. Overall a very homey and nice place for a family dinner.
