“Ali is a welcoming host and server. The (vegetarian) food was delicious!! We got the vegetarian sampler which was tasty and filling for two of us. Plus he advised us that the rice is not vegetarian so we had the delicious bread instead! How thoughtful. This is a small restaurant that deserves a big reputation! The price was quite reasonable. “Absolutely love this spot. Food is amazing and very economically priced. Authentic no frills Afghani food. Old school decor (which I absolutely love) same furniture for the last 12 years, gives it a vintage & authentic feel. They have another location in Long Island which is bigger (i haven't been there yet) During peak hours the service can be a bit slow (there is only 1 waiter). I have dined here about 20 times and everything is GREAT. The sambosa's, the combo plate, the lamb shank, the curries, the different kebabs, all the sauces and the desserts are amazing.“

“I love Lasani restaurant. Their prices are very reasonable and so when my husband and I are looking to eat out but not fancy it’s our go-to spot. Food is delicious, veg and non veg options, fast service. I like the environment, casual dining. Open late, too! Lasani is one of my favorite restaurants in Jersey City. When I want to eat out in a casual way, this is my spot. Highly recommend the roti!

Vegetarian options: I love the Chana, sometimes they have different veggies like cauliflower, spinach, depends on the day. Their roti is vegan and it’s soooo soft and good.
