As someone who first tried All'Antico Vinaio in Italy, I have to acknowledge the freshness in the flavor of the ingredients and the bread—it’s comparable to the original. However, the sandwiches here are nowhere near as packed as the ones in Italy. The staff is excellent and very friendly. The space, however, is far too small for the number of customers. There’s only a single counter for eating, which is uncomfortable since you’re eating right next to people ordering...
If we knew that sandwich would be so huge we would share one. Totally worth the price (19$ each)- the bread and toppings were fresh and delicious, but still it was too big to handle for Latvians. So ee ate the other half of the sandwich later in a hotel 😀

If this is indicative of the sandwiches in Italy, I want to live there! Seriously. First off, the place is busy. I mean, a line out the door and down the street busy. I waited anyway because I hear it was worth it. It is. It’s super small inside just the counter to order and maybe 6 stools to sit on in a corner. It’s clean and well kept. No dust or dirt or sticky smudges anywhere. I ordered La Summer and The New Yorker (couldn’t decide on just one). Both were flavorful,...
