Food was fabulous. We had a large party and tried their lamb chops, Okra, daal and bbq chicken with real charcoal flavor. Fresh tandoori roti just made everything better.show stopper was the gulab jamun créme burlee. I visit aroqa eventide I am in NYC. Their drinks are next level, taste and presentation both.
worst food and resturant imagine the smell from india
I had high hopes for this restaurant. But my disappointment began when I was informed they ran out of butternut squash for one of their signature vegetarian dishes, which I was looking forward to. How do you run out of vegetable? I mean can't you just send someone to a grocery store down the block? Also although I know okra can be challenging I found mine rather stringy/fibrous and was underwhelmed. The interior seating of the restaurant is cramped and packed line an airliner,...read full review

aRoqa in Manhattan offers fantastic Indian food with high value for money. The staff is friendly, and the ambiance is pleasant, with music that feels like a lit club, featuring hits from Galantis to Kanye. The presentation of the food is also very well done, with dishes like lasan Gobi coming in a cool play truck. While some dishes like the bhel were too sweet, highlights include the lasuni hobo, Amritsari kulcha, and the incredible Paneer tikka, which is a great appetizer. Saag paneer is considered one of the best in the city, and daal makhni hits the spot. The restaurant is perfect for special occasions thanks to its professional staff, creative cocktails, and mouth-watering desserts. Non-vegetarians especially enjoy the punjabi goat keema matar with garlic naan, and the food is flavorful without being very spicy. The staff is attentive, always making sure guests are satisfied. The food received high praise for its delicious taste, with some reviews describing it as "heaven on the tongue." The lamb biryani rice, garlic naan, and chicken tikka masala are standout dishes, with the latter having the richest and tastiest sauce. Visitors also appreciated the beautiful presentation and artistic plating, as well as the cozy but chic atmosphere. However, the absence of mango lassi was disappointing. Overall, aRoqa remains a hidden gem of a place, recommended for anyone wanting to try Indian food and enjoy a beautiful evening out with friends.
