This place is a hidden gem in West Chelsea! Great bar and super welcoming staff. The guac comes in a huge rough ceramic bowl that you could do a workout with! We love the quesadillas here because they are not the typical greasy fare that every other Mexican joint seems to serve up. My only hesitation in recommending this spot is that you're going to discover it and take up all the seats at the bar!
This place is kind of a grungy and old and is definitely not a place to go on a date, but it had some positives. It is spacious with ample seating. The menu has a wide selection too with reasonably priced entrees ($10-$15) with large portion sizes. Like most Mexican places in Manhattan with cheap margaritas, the food is not that authentic though and leans more towards Tex-Mex (chimichangas, flautas, etc.). Don't walk- sprint here! They recently remodeled and don't think you can find a friendlier staff in all of the city. This is truly a hidden gem. The drinks are top notch. Best Cadillac Margarita I've ever had. Recently we had the burrito (massive!), fajitas (can smell them coming a mile away!), enchiladas and birria tacos.
