Husband was in the mood for ceviche on a warm summer night and this hit the spot for him. He got 3 different seafood cold dishes and really enjoyed (crispy rice as his fav). I had the mushrooms and truffle fries, both enjoyable but menu more limited for me. Place was packed, even for an early reservation and many were turned away without, hoping to snag a seat at the bar so reservations are a must on weekends. Most guests were speaking Spanish!

I wanted to give your restaurant another chance after my mother’s disappointing visit last time, but unfortunately my experience today was not any better. After traveling two hours with my family, we were not greeted properly and were simply told to wait an hour and a half, with no alternatives offered. It left us with no option but to leave.

I truly value the times we were treated well before, especially by Rodrigo, which is why I gave it another try. But after two attempts, it feels disheartening that hospitality and care for returning guests were missing. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future families.

Great for IG photos, terrible food. I really wanted to like this place, but it was a huge letdown. We spent $200 on five small dishes and left disappointed. I don’t mind paying for quality, but the food was extremely below average.

The signature risotto was literally raw—crunchy rice at a high-end restaurant is inexcusable.

Tried two of their three ceviches. Flavor was okay, but the fish tasted off and sour.

The seafood dish was the only silver lining, but even that was basically a bowl of rice with a $50 price tag.

My cocktail was bland and forgettable.

To be fair, the service was good and friendly, but unfortunately that couldn’t make up for the poor food and overpriced menu. Save your money—don’t come here.

We had a reservation and the service was not bad but the truth is I expected much better service since one paid such an expensive price for a dinner, not only is it but Peruvian food has nothing to do with it, it is a rip-off and they do a lot of advertising and a lot of hook since the chef Rodrigo Fernándini is almost never there, they should make it clear that they only use his name but he is never there, I think once a year and so on and people go to see the chef too and it doesn't seem right to me apart from those ridiculously high prices, I understand that it is Gourmet but they change the flavors and ingredients of the true Peruvian food to be "fancy's" and not have anything to do with it, I demand that the chefs be there more and not deceive people that their restaurant is never there 😠

Artesano on Chamber st, NYC was amazing. The atmosphere was great. I could speak with my friend without raising my voice, the food was amazing as well, seasoned perfectly with just the right portion sizes. Along with these, the drinks were saturated with taste and you definitely get what you pay for. The dessert was very good as well, the presentation added a creative and thought provoking touch. I will definitely be coming here again and bringing more family and friends.

This was my second time at Artesano, the first time, the server was excellent. My second time was on Saturday 8th at 3pm. We did not know the name of the server, he only took the order once and he absolutely disappeared, he never asked if food was great or not… he did not introduce himself… he did not ask if we need something else?, also, we wanted to continue order more food and he was not there lol and then he told us that kitchen is close at 4 pm… of course we wanted to order more food like 20 minutes before… and he absolutely did not pay attention to our table 🙃. Food and drinks were absolutely delicious 10/10 but please improve the service!

We had an amazing time at Artesano. This is our go-to spot to celebrate special occasions because the food is always fantastic - we've tried almost every dish on their menu so far. The staff always does their best to make you feel welcome and are always checking on you. Our favorite dishes are the Artesano ceviche, Nikkei tuna tartare, octopus, pork belly anticuchos, scallops, lomo, cavatelli, Chiclayo duck, and emoliente.

Wheelchair accessibility: Only at the first table upon entering.
The entrance door is very narrow for the wheelchair to pass through.

My husband planned our 1st time trip (2hr) to Artesano for Valentine’s Day because he knows I wanted to visit. Even though the food was delicious, presented well , we couldn’t help feeling a bit disappointed at the size of the food served. We understand it was a tasting menu , we have experienced such before never once got back home hungry . I’m Peruvian, my husband is not . I had spoken highly of this place, I make Rodrigo’s recipes at home and I support Peruvian culture in all of its forms but, sadly I don’t think we would visit Artesano in the future.
