I love this place! I work in the neighborhood and it's my go-to lunch spot. Good price, good portion and great quality food. The atmosphere and customer service are also excellent. Skip the big chain places and support this great small business!
We missed the buffet and specials so ordered a la carte. We had the lamb korma, palak paneer, baked eggplant, and samosa chat. Every dish was so flavorful and came with rice or naan. Onion kulcha has bits of onion packed into the bread itself instead of stuffed. The portions were incredibly generous, and the leftovers made for an amazing lunch. Will definitely be back!

I love Indian food and A Saffron Thread is honestly my favorite Indian restaurant in New York. The restaurant is small but the warm colors and wood decor make it a peaceful space to eat in.
