Bar Mercer is a restaurant in Soho with a fantastic food and terrific, lovely vibe. The ambiance is quite nice, relaxing, quiet, warm, and beautiful inside with a funky vibe in terms of the decor and music. It is not loud, the music is soothing, and it offers stellar vibes for a date night.
The food is excellent and literally one of the best meals. Standout dishes include the branzino with shishito peppers and a seared lemon, the grilled prawns, the steak tartare, the pigs in a blanket, the pasta, and a dozen oysters which are super fresh. Deserts like the cheesecake and blueberry cobbler are fantastic.
For drinks, the cocktails are stunningly great and phenomenal. The Sour Patch Sour, a bourbon drink, and the margarita with carrot juice are highly recommended. They have a decent selection of wines and champagne, and a happy hour with $11 classic martinis. Drinks are tad expensive, but this is Soho after all.
The service is great, with attentive servers and staff that are so nice and helpful. It is a highly recommended spot, the best new restaurant in Soho, and a really great place to return to.
