I will start from the staff. They are definitely rude especially the waiter. He didn’t welcome anyone. not a smile to the clients, never said thank you, and throwing food instead of gently serving. It wasn’t just a wrong day cause i tried Broadway Restaurant for the brunch during all the week. They should treat client as deserved or at least decently. However the food was great, very typical, i like how the restaurant is inside. Is like having and experiencing the past years NY life for how is furnished. Price are fair. I will not recommend because a great staff is essential. Try other options.
If you’re in the Upper West Side looking for a hangover-cure breakfast on a stiff Sunday morning, I can’t recommend skipping this place enough, especially when there are multiple other diners in a 5 block walk. This was one of the most below-average meals I’ve ever had in the city. Don’t waste your time or money.I went in with appropriate expectations for a “4.3” spot but man, was I disappointed. For what it’s worth, the service was speedy and attentive, and the old-school design made for a cute, charming dining experience. My girlfriend and I ordered a handful of items: Scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, and grits; pancakes; a tuna melt with fries; coffee and orange juice.Simply put, the food isn’t “bad” — you’re not going to get food poisoning or anything like that. It’s just offensively, comically tasteless. Seriously, not even the eggs had a dash of salt or seasoning on them. The fries were bland slabs of air. The grits were like soupy cement before we added hot sauce. The tuna melt had potential due to the Texas-toast style bread it came on but paired with the cheapest looking American cheese, the predominant flavor was oil/ mayo/ fat. Worst of all, the coffee — a pinnacle of New York City diners — tasted like runoff water. The only redeeming factor of the entire meal was the 1oz of tasty coleslaw that accompanied the tuna melt and the glass of orange juice.Again, you’re not going to have “bad” or “disgusting” food here, which is why I still have to give it a 3-star review, out of professional courtesy. But nothing we had at The Broadway Restaurant tasted better than anything we could make at home; rather, it tasted like practically nothing at all.
We were l looking for a classic old time diner. This diner is classic but not old Timey It is very sophisticated and upscale. The atmosphere was good and the food ok. Service was excellent and prices were good.
Best Restaurant on all of Broadway. Not being glib, when what you want is a Greek diner and you are on the upper west side or really the west side of all of uptown, this is the only place for you.
Good simple burgers how they use to be. Not all the craziness to make them appealing. And at a good price compared to other local diners.
The place was nice and gave us an experience of having an American breakfast. The taste could be better. The quality was good
Great diner with great service. We had breakfast and enjoyed it very much. Great French Toast and Omelett. 100% recommendation! Thanks
Really yummy find! It's a small buisness which made it even better! Good food and service!
Price, great. Attention, amazing. Food was a goal. I do recommend this place for an american breakfast experience. 100/100
I went twice while I was staying and both times were enjoyable! first time I just got one of the smoothies which was really refreshing; the other time I got a full breakfast (mushroom and cheese omelet, potatoes, toast). they cooked the potatoes with green peppers which added a really great taste. I suggest this little diner! it had wonderful decor, service, and food. very affordable, too

Nice cozy little restaurant - swapped toast for veggies and they were happy to do that. Cost $10.30 with tax :)
It's a great local place. It was great to see the interactions between the staff and customers. The food and coffee was delicious. I would definitely recommend this local place.
The server was not welcoming and passive aggressive. My party and I were not greeted. The food was a good price and tasty as well.
This was my breakfast place for 28 years of living in Manhattan. Not the best place, not the best food, but dam good and great prices. Home for me, really. I'm glad to see they are still there pumping out good eats. Miss you guys. Next time I'm back in Manhattan, I'll be at Broadway Dinner.
My brother and I have gone there for years. Friendly, great food, excellent service. Love it there
