Bufón is a spectacular and exceptional dining establishment, often described as incredible and one of the best in the neighborhood. The restaurant features a great looking space with lots of character and a beautifully designed ambiance. The staff is incredibly attentive and super helpful from the moment you walk in, with specific praise for the host and servers. Service is great, with thoughtful touches like checking on food allergies upfront and providing coat check.

The food is delicious, unbelievable, and nothing short of fabulous, with generous portions for the price. Standout starters and shared plates include the fluke crudo, little neck clams, tuna carpaccio, sunchokes, and a salad with persimmon and pear. For mains, the duck with grilled dates, red snapper, ribeye, bavette, and pork chop are all excellent and top notch. Sides like confit potatoes, string beans, spicy string beans, and fries are also incredible. The drinks are tasty, featuring perfectly balanced cocktails like the briny Bufón martini and a well-paired wine list. The meal can be life-changing, ending with the best dessert in recent memory, a passion fruit tart on a ritz cracker crust.
