Café Chelsea is a restaurant known for its delicious steak and eggs, tasty fries, and creatively prepared Maitake au poivre. The French toast is a popular choice for breakfast, and the merguez sausage stands out for its authentic flavor. The historic building, adorned with neoclassical vibes, provides a charming atmosphere, although it can get a bit noisy due to its popularity. Service is generally good, with friendly staff and attentive service, as described by customers. The restaurant offers a variety of tasty dishes, including chickpea fries, steak tartare, ravioli, and desserts like the Almond Tart and Rocher ice cream, which are highly praised. The main dining room has a fabulous atmosphere, and the cuisine is well presented, making it a popular spot for many. Some guests noted that the tables are quite close together, but overall, the experience is enjoyable. Customers appreciate the satisfying flavors, the nice atmosphere, and the beautifully designed interior. The eggs benedict is good for its price, though some feel the sides could be better and the hollandaise served fresher. The ambience is cool with classical interior decor, and the staff is friendly. Visitors also enjoyed a great wine list, perfect oysters, steak, and desserts, finding the place lively and the service on point. Overall, Café Chelsea provides a solid dining experience with a mix of traditional and creative dishes in a charming setting, making it a favorite for many.
