Café Sabarsky offers a busy and energetic atmosphere with friendly service. The Feuilletine hazelnut mousse cake, Apple strudel, and German wines are highly recommended. Despite long waits, the butternut squash soup, schnitzel, and sausages are must-tries. The Sacher torte is exceptional, even better than the original from the Sacher Hotel in Vienna.
The café provides an authentic Austrian atmosphere, with a quiet and tame vibe. The food, including the chocolate torte and latte, is exceptionally crafted and fresh, with no added sugar. Breakfast is only served from 9-11am.
Café Sabarsky is a gem, offering a slice of Europe tucked inside NYC's Neue Galerie. The ambiance is elegant and quiet, making it feel like a hidden gem just steps away from Central Park. The Viennese-style coffee and the Sabarskyteller (Austrian breakfast plate) are standout dishes. Customers recommend making a reservation in advance, especially on weekends, as the café can get busy and lines are a frequent occurrence.
