we ate on way 9th street summer menu before 4;30 horrible we were at the bar 2 of us we could only share one appetizer and a main dish. never said on menu you could only order one each if you go with two people keep your men 26.99 we had to ask for more pasta entrees were not large enough never again

Food was delicious. I fell in love with pasta with Bolognese all over again. We couldn't ask for a better server who recommended The Bread pudding. That turned out to be one of the top 2 deserts I've ever had. Just a great experience . We have to do that more often

I'm a steady customer of this particular establishment, but last night was an absolute disaster. We walked in without a reservation & was told by a tall man with dreads who was checking in the reservations that they are no longer accepting walk-ins and I could either eat @ the busy bar or go home, I showed up @ 6:30pm. I jumped on the open tables app & booked a reservation for 7:15pm. I went back to the guy who was checking the reservations & told him that I booked the reservation but he told me that it didn't matter & that it would be better to eat & the bar of go home. I told him I would check in around 7:15pm. As we sat in the bar, we ordered baked clams & had drinks while we waited to be called. While eating our appetizers, we found a long hair wrapped around one of the clams (Gross) the bartender saw me staring at the hair and called in a manager who was very nice & comped us for the cost of the clams. Around 7:15pm, I went back to the guy checking the reservations and told us the same thing. After consistently checking with the staff every 10/15 minutes, we finally got a table a little after 8:30pm. During the meal, I excused myself to go to the restroom and was in the bathroom booth, the same man who was checking reservations walked in & I overheard him speaking to a staff member about me. He was saying how I was annoying & was trying to jump ahead by booking a last minute reservation. He said if he wasn't working, he would've asked me to step outside for a confrontation. He didn't realize that I was in the restroom stall overhearing everything. (I mean, how was I wrong for booking a last minute reservation when it was available on open tables?) As always, the food was excellent, our waiter & manager on staff provided excellent service.

It was 50 minutes past our reservation time before we were seated and served a drink, let alone food. Thankfully we scheduled plenty of time pre-show but ended up rushed and dissatisfied.

superb experience as always. food was spectacular and drinks were good and strong!! Waiter was super nice and helpful. Upper west side Carmines is our favorite restaurant in NYC. We'll take leftovers home ! So good! Juat go!!

ridiculously big portions for a table of two it's designed for families to share big plates and they don't cater for two people. Don't go if you're a couple or be prepared to bring half of it home.

We had a group of 8 and everyone had a wonderful time! Great food! Great service and the bill was completely reasonable. We had two birthdays and an anniversary to celebrate and Carmines did not disappoint!

Dine in experience was great. However, my take out order...The shrimp Parmesan with angel hair pasta was burnt. Did not realize until I got it home to serve to my family. Was very disappointed that the establishment/cook would actually sale and send a product out their kitchen in that manner. I was at Carmines last Saturday, May 9th and ordered the exact same thing with the angel hair pasta and it was amazing. That's why I ordered again to take home.

The waitress was amazing! My issue was they over booked, the wait time although we had a reservation was an hour and the food took an hour to come out.
Even though it was Mother'sDay the pricing was good and the same, but the potion size of food serving was slightly smaller for the dish we order. Everything else was ok !! I just wish where we was seated was in a different area of the restaurant. I personally felt we was excluded.

The chicken parm was amazing!!! We arrived on time but waited about 10 mins before being seated. They only offer family sized portions but the food was delicious and pricing was reasonable for the amount of food. Definitely will be returning!

We made 5pm reservation. Got seated right away. 3 of us. We order chicken parmesan and Ragatoni with sausage and broccoli. The portions are big. We can't finish the pasta, so we take home. It was very good.

Our server was excellent and the service overall was great. Very attentive staff. Excellent food. I return to Carmine's because I know the experience and food will be great!
