The Carnegie Diner & Cafe is a popular restaurant known for its excellent food and efficient service. The staff is friendly and accommodating, handling the high volume of customers with ease. The lively atmosphere can be noisy, with tables close together, making it especially busy for breakfast and lunch. Customers particularly enjoy the French toast, pancakes, Reuben sandwich, and burgers. The restaurant maintains a clean environment, and reservations are recommended due to its popularity. The extensive menu caters to various preferences, including brunch items, sandwiches, salads, and burgers, often accompanied by a side of greens. Diners feel at home even when it's busy, thanks to the reliable service and delectable food, including waffle and brownie milkshakes.
Customers have recently praised the large portions, amazing food, and friendly service. The restaurant is in a good proximity to Broadway shows, making it a convenient choice. The happy hour beers for $5 are also a nice addition. The ambiance is very New York City Theatre District, and the restaurant is known to celebrate special occasions like marathons.
