VERS — queer bar, cocktails, snacks, and events — offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere with great drinks and music. The vibe is stellar, especially on Sundays, and the happy hour is one of the best, with reasonably priced drinks and great deals. Cocktails taste really good. Service is always great; the waitress Kangaroo is an absolute treasure, attentive, sweet, fast, and always happy with a smile. Bartenders and servers are incredible all around. However, food is honestly sad: the pimento cheese dip is so good and delicious but served with only 7 Ritz crackers, sliders are tasty but tiny, and “fancy tots” are too fancy with just five. Happy hour is great, but don’t come hungry. A great drag variety show with great talent runs on Mondays.
