“Here is what I posted to my own page earlier today… “The Spot” is a nicely appointed newish Gay bar at 44th and 10th. Their is a long bar with a big wide counter…and they serve surprisingly well-prepared bar food items…and they have 2 for 1 happy hour prices on most well drinks. The reason I’m noting this…is that wether you are Gay or Straight…”The Spot” offers a nice new alternative as a place to meet your party prior to a Broadway show. Get there just before 6 to secure a patch of bar for your theater party. A general note to NYC tourists… concentrate your pre and post show dining and drinking options to 9tb and 10th Avenues…and “Restaurant Row” (on 46th Street tween 8 and 9.) Once you get west of 8th Avenue, you’ll escape the tourist traps, find every kind of food in the world…and somewhat lower prices than nearer Times Square. Leave time for a slightly longer walk to your Broadway show…the few extra steps will make a positive world of difference.“
“Was visiting and this bar had a great atmosphere. Also, one of the few gay bars that actually had a menu to look at. Might seem small but my partner and I love to try new drinks and not just name a random drink from the top of our head we already had before.Bartenders were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend and will visit again next time around.“
“Love Ty’s for it’s lowkey vibe. The crowd here is a mix of old dudes having a nightcap, bears pregaming, and downtown cool kids relaxing somewhere they won’t be seen. Bartenders are all very sweet. Music is generally good, ranges from rock, 90s radio classics, 100% Madonna, Courtney Love and friends.“
“We’ve been here twice and both times were great experiences. Staff is friendly, the entertainment is fun. Just found out about the patio with a view of the Chrysler building on our last visit this past Saturday. Will definitely return next time in NYC.“

“One of the best bars you’ll ever go to. If you want a bar with a diverse crowd that gives little to no judgement about your aesthetic, then this is the place to be. If you’ve got a kink, there’s probably someone else here that has it too. If you have a hobby, you’ll most likely find a friend. Great drag shows, trivia contests, and “other” contests. I will always come to this bar. They also have some of the cheapest drink prices in NYC and they don’t skimp!!“
“Came here on Sunday for the drag show brunch! The food was phenomenal- my favorite was the French dip and fries!All the portions were large and very filling. The drag show brunch is every other Sunday & is such a fun time. Definitely recommend checking out, the music is fun & the performance was great!!“

“Space is small, so a reservation is definitely needed. All run by chef and owner, Artist. That day we had the place almost all to ourselves and he made our experience one of a kind with his hospitality and attention. Eating delicious food while the guest musician played made for good vibes. We made quick friends with our dining neighbor and the whole restaurant just talked about life. “This place is an excellent homage to the old new york bars: great variety shows, from live piano to burlesque, and reasonably priced drinks. My only reason not to give it five stars is that Club Cummins features the slowest bartender I have ever experienced; this kid can only make and charge one drink at a time, making the experience of buying a simple beer a test of patience.“

“Apparently, this is a relatively new gay bar in New York City’s Hells kitchen. We were visiting from Minnesota and happened to see the pride flags out front as we were walking by on 9th Avenue so we decided to swing in. It’s not a huge bar but the staff was so nice and it was really well done. Bar has a great atmosphere. We spoke with bartenders, Daniel and Gio, and they took the time to come over and chat with us and make us feel welcome even though I’m sure they had plenty of other things to do. Such a wonderful bar that we will definitely be back.“
“First time at Stonewall was this last December 2023, and it was a blast!The legendary bar was hosting their weekly drag show with Hibiscus, and we arrived just in time to see her.The drinks were great, and she was on fire as she charmed the crowd and ate it up on the dance floor! I got to ask her what her favoriteplant was (snakeplant).The atmosphere was 10/10, the music was 10/10, and Hibiscus a 10/10- 10’s across the board.I highly suggest visiting at least once to see Hibiscus, or any of the other performers and bartenders, DJ’s, regular patrons there.It’s an epicenter of queer culture, and continues to stand to be.I will definitely be back!Parking: Parking is already an olympic task for NYC.There is street parking, but most of the time is it cordoned off for construction, or taken.Paid lots nearby are your best bet, aside using apps like Spothero to locate cheap parking in the city.“

“This place rules. We went because I’m queer and we stumbled upon it (out of towners). My best friend and I (2 cis women) were completely taken care of. It was wonderful. One of my best experiences in NYC. All lovely, not expensive, lots of sweet young men having fun.“

“REBAR is a gay bar/lounge in the heart of Chelsea (225 W19th Street) with theme nights and a happy hour with drink specials. Each Sunday, The Richard Cortez Band performs from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Richard revisits jazz classics from the Great American Songbook highlighting songs that had been sung by Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Sinatra and many more as well as songs by composers that include Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Hoagy Carmichael and Stephen Sondheim. Richard's interpretation of these songs is entertainingly unique.“
“The crowds are good and the drinks are just OK. But the bar is dirty, and it's overcrowded, looking like a fire trap waiting to happen. Clean your disgusting bathroom more. I can only speak for the men's room, but the women's room probably is just as bad. I give it 1 star.“
“Nothing but good music, great deals, and friendly people every time I come in. Bartender (usually the same one) is always so nice every time I come in; two for one drinks until 9 is a steal, and they play good music opposed to most other gay bars in Manhattan. Awesome place.“
“My first time here was a bit of a blur... late night, last stop but do remember having a good time and saying we wanted to go back. Fast Forward to one or two years later, we came back with friends. This time not so late, and we were able to find a couple of spots at the bar. Atmosphere was the same great fun we remembered, and this time they had live music too, with some of the bartenders also taking turns at the mic to sing. And if you are part of the crowd and want to join in, you are welcomed to. Drinks are strong, but service can be a bit slow due to this place being so busy and bartenders multitasking but this is no reason to skip The Duplex. Just be a bit patience and enjoy the fun!“

“Both of the Boxers locations are in my preferred gay bar top 5 for NYC. I really appreciate how clean and nice their bathrooms are (especially at the HK location which has really private gender neutral stalls). Yes they have a full staff of hottie bartenders in just boxers, but their bartenders are also almost always really sweet too. I use the happy hour deal the have pretty often, but I also enjoy coming after happy hour either to hang for a game or to be someplace with an energetic vibe with good music. The HK location is great for the rooftop, which seems to be a bit of a secret. It's a nice roof, with engaging seating, and a fun view of midtown (Hearst Tower, Central Park Tower). And best of all its a rooftop that doesnt come with a crazy drink markup.“
“Historical. Gay. Vibe. It’s a friendly local bar to end your day and start the night. The bar food is hearty. The staff are fab. The crowd are mostly partnered New Yorkers trying to be SJP or Samantha from SatC but half of them probably don’t know the reference. But it’s definitely a vibe.“
“Walked in thinking it's an Irish bar, walked out having one of the best times ever at any bar. This is a gay bar on steroids but that's what makes it oh so better. I know what you straights are thinking, but this place is Uber welcoming of people from all walks of the road. Probably one of my most favorite random bars of all time. The food was great and priced even better. The staff was Uber friendly and the drinks were top notch. The crowd was the happiest and sweetest crowd of all time. Tbh not a single sour puss! Highly recommend this place for everyone and anyone! The music, the food, the drinks, the staff, the atmosphere... all so fun that honestly I kinda wish I was gay now lol. Give this place a shot, you won't regret it!“
