The Rosemont Gay Bar • $
63 Montrose Ave, Brooklyn

“Music is great, location is good, drinks is great, but as I always review other places who doing the same thing. I hate it when a business put minimum 20% tip on their screen tab. Where is the 15% and 18% tip options go to ? I know there is custom tip, but having your bartenders holding the tab n tipsy people we wont have any time to press custom tip.

We are all struggling in this big city called New York, lets bring back that 15% minimum tip not 20%.“

“I love Ginger's. I came here with my new wife and two best friends / witnesses after getting married last year, and I hosted my top surgery celebration (tata to my tatas) here last week. It was the perfect place to toast two very important moments of my gay little life. A wonderful, warm atmosphere, decent drinks prices and happy hour, lovely little garden, and great events and pool table. I love the bartenders here too, who are always friendly and chatty. I would implore you to bring your dates, new wives, best friends, family and colleagues here to celebrate events big and small - and you can email them to easily make a resrvation, and bring your own food in too.“

Tony Leung

“Such a cool place with a friendly staff and a lovely crowd the night we were there. It was a sold out event and I wish the dance floor was three or four times as big as it is, but everything else was exactly as I hoped for. Even with a full house the drinks came quickly and I loved the Tony Leungs.“

The Jelly

“Cute bar with small, raw dance space in the back and seated tables in the side room next to the bar. If you’re looking for top notch AV to dance to this is not your spot. If you’re looking for a great local LGBTQIA++ watering hole; or a nostalgic, hole in the wall, raw space like when you first starting partying and needed an after hours or pregame spot to just relax with friends - which is more about the vibe of the clientele and music than fancy lights and sound anyway - than this is your spot!Saw Lady Bunny DJ for a friend’s bday (not the best mixer by any means but music/vibe was fun and crowd was SUPER diverse)! If you’re throwing a private party I’d say you can fit 75-100 if spaced throughout the venue. Service from the bar could be better (our half-finished drinks kept disappearing from the bar for no reason all night while chatting with friends when not paying attention, so we had to keep ordering more - and getting new ones was not as easy for a smaller bar as you’d think); however, the small bar staff of 3 did their best slinging to a full bar that just kept getting busier through the night, so give them props for staying nice through then night.

Wheelchair accessibility: Small but steep ramp at the entrance way, which is a plus to have at all as a disabled patron!“
