Amazing and friendly service. Place was packed and they made an effort to accommodate us quickly. Loved the natural wine options as well. Waiter was authentically nice and helpful and all his recommendations worked out very well for . Great vibe too . Highly recommend

Really enjoyed having a drink here with my husband. Spaced out seating, cute interiors, good music that wasn’t too loud. A lady served us and was such a sweetie too. She was quick and super helpful with recommendations - asset to the team!

The other comments check out. The service was horrible.. The service people sort of just wander around and pick and choose who they want to help. It's really a shame because the bar itself is so adorable.

The set up and the vibe is excellent, however the service is abhorrent. It appears that the servers have deep resentment for their jobs, and take it out on the customers. It is not my fault that you’re a service worker at a wine bar, so please spare me the attitude.

Quiet at 9:30pm on a Saturday, simplistic ambience with round Parisian cafe tables and wicker chairs, inelegant petite plating, limited menu, cheese & pate & fish in tins & wine, servers who rarely bother you… what’s not to love?

Tonight was my second visit to Casetta in a while and it was an equally terrible experience, (I don’t know why I went back). For context, it was a Saturday night and pretty empty. It took over 15 minutes for my friend and I to recieve a menu let alone order something which took another 20 minutes, (people got up and left after waiting for so long). The staff were quick to clear tables when there was no wait to be seated but neglected our order which consisted of two glasses of wine and one food dish. It started to rain at one point and we asked the server if we could move inside and he didn’t bring in anything that we had been consuming outside. He utilized an extremely blasé tone which was baffling. I tipped well because I understand that it’s a necessity living in New York but I will never come back to this place nor would I recommend it to anyone. Owner- hire people that actually care about customer satisfaction- this is such an embarrassment.

Really really horrible service. Took 15+ minutes to get a menu, another 30 to order two glasses of wine, and then prompting the two mustached waiters approximately 4 times until we were able to get our second glass. It was a Saturday, but not busy whatsoever. Really cute spot, but being that there are so many places like this in downtown I’ll just go elsewhere to avoid the egotistic staff.

After circling the neighborhood on a Saturday evening trying to find a place to eat without a long line in front, my friend and I happened upon this little boite! Please don't let the negative reviews sway you, apparently there was some staff turnover that caused issues. Those issues have been resolved. We had fast and friendly service. The space is cozy and Parisian. The wine list is wonderful. We happened to visit on a night with a pop up menu by Chef Jay Wolman. We ordered just about everything and it was all bright and springy and delicious. Highly reccomend!

We came upon Casetta as the last restaurant within a 5 block radius that wasn't packed on Saturday night. After being seated by a charming server, we were brought menus, wine and our small plates promptly and graciously. Jay Wolman was the popup chef and his food is spectacular; clean, fresh, bright and balanced. Please give this wonderful spot a chance! It seems like the rotten servers noted in these reviews are gone.
