North Dumplings Essex is a super affordable and very tasty restaurant. The dinner for two is a great value, with a price of $22 for two others of dumplings, bok choy, sesame pancake, chive pancake, and spring rolls. The restaurant has recently moved to a bigger space, and the service is friendly and fast. The veggie dumplings are pretty ginger-forward and flavorful. The restaurant offers vinegar on the table alongside soy sauce and hot sauce. The fried and steamed dumplings are excellent, made right after ordering, and the price is great. The food is consistent and a great value. However, the dining area can get a little nasty and needs better cleaning between guests. The restaurant is super crowded with very few tables, so it's not a place to sit and chat for a long time. The Essex Street location has thinner skin on their dumplings, less gloopy hot and sour soup, and a lightly crisp and fluffier sesame pancake compared to another location.
