Cellini Italian Restaurant and Bar in Midtown Manhattan

We love Cellini. Food and service are great. We go to Cellini whenever we are back In nyc.

So dissatisfied! I made a reservation on OpenTable for 12/4. The restaurant without calling cancel my reservation two weeks after it was confirmed. I called and was told they booked the restaurant for a private event after I made my reservation. Now I don’t expect a restaurant to turn down a private event, but I do expect and think I should have been called explaining the situation. I have eaten many times and the food is good, but I will not go back just because of the attitude. Not even an apology .. terrible.

Whenever we visit NYC Cellini is our go to place for Italian. Exceptional service only outdone by the amazing food.

Very good pasta dishes. Adequate house salads. Good red wine. No lemonade so no Arnold Palmers to be had. Downstairs typical crowded, noisy lunch place. But fine Upstairs much better. A good go-to midtown restaurant

We were seated in makeshift upstairs space with folded rental chairs that the staff was breaking down during our dinner. Wait staff was bumping into each other with confusion. They were in a rush. Hurry up with drink order and food order. Mixed drinks sucked and one of the servers even said they were sh!!. Food was good portions were small. Not happy. We have been here three other times seated in the main dining room. Service, food and drinks were great.

The food was excellent but the service was very frantic and rushed. They tried to give us another tables food to start. They forgot one of my parties drinks and we had to ask twice for it. They rushed us through the dinner and never offered dessert. If just felt like they were more concerned about turning over the table rather than giving us a nice experience.

Chicken parm was delicious but needed more sauce. Sauce was very unusual and very good. Served with veggies and potatoes . (Only got one potato and it was not good) pasta would've been much better with this!! Waiter never checked to make sure all was fine. Disappointed as wanted to order homemade lemon tart but it was not ‘ready' yet. Focaccia was great and asked waiter for more but he forgot., A nice place for lunch / dinner. Little pricey. Next time will order the lasagna as it looked so good!!

I always liked Cellini but hadn't been in over 10 years. It was even better than I remembered. Great feed and service. A really nice lunch.

We were seated in front to avoid the noise on the back. Really helpful! We've been to Cellini many times, always excellent food and service!

This place was so cute and perfect for our pre-broadway meal. The service was impeccable - even making something not on the menu to make my daughters 16th birthday celebration extra special. Staff coming out to sing to birthday girl made this dinner perfect. There are so many NYC restaurants to try, but I will be making a return trip to Cellini - for sure!

Each of us was very happy with our choices. We were impressed by the freshness and high quality of the delicious food. The servers are so attentive. After experiencing authentic Italian food on my travels, this is a very special find!!!
