CDG is crazy busy for a reason. The food is outstanding and service is superb. Don't let the wait scare you though. We purposely planned to go 1 to 1.5 hours before dinner to get on the waitlist. You get a text when your table is almost ready and have 10 minutes to make your way back once you get that notification. You can also download an app in which you can check to see how many parties are in front of you to give you a better estimate of the wait time. We decided to get the naengi eggplant rice ($9), bossam ($18.99), and perilla seed tofu stew ($18.99). We were also given banchan and each received a small bowl of housemade tofu. You can always request more orders of banchan! The eggplant rice is something that I've never had or seen elsewhere and is a dish that I highly recommend. The crispy bits are the best! The perilla seed tofu soup is also something that is unique. I LOVE perilla, but I didn't taste any shiso (which is what I expected). Instead, it was more of a nutty flavor, but still very flavorful and light. Staff were so friendly and nice. I asked to try the makgeolli because I didn't want to commit to a glass if I didn't like it, and they offered to provide samples of the ones I was interested in. You're also given complimentary cookies (yakgwa) at the end of the meal. Yakgwa is a deep-fried layered cookie doused in a honey-ginger syrup. We expected the little flower-shaped cookie to be crisp, but it was actually soft and chewy.

Authentic, well priced Korean soups, banchan + bibimbap. There's always a queue, so be sure to get there early!

The experience here was next level. The fried chicken was delivered with ketchup though, not the homemade sweet chili sauce advertised. We also had the bulgogi hotpot which was delicious if you like sweet food. Some tough pieces experienced. I'm bummed I didn't order the tofu but thought some would come out free as advertised elsewhere. Will probably be back to try tofu.

I must admit, these guys are still top-notch. They have always come through for me, but it doesn't quite hit the spot like it used to, maybe a decade ago. However, their food still tastes excellent, still top 10%. I'm just saying that it was even better before.

I scheduled a food order in the mornining to be delivered after 2100. I received a order picked up notice at 2045 but to be abruptly notified that it was cancelled at 2100. The charges has been made on my credit card and I have no way to know why it was cancelled and if the money will be refunded. I am utterly disappointed that CDG made me go hungry after I woke up at this odd hours after flying in with a jet lag. Totally poor service. The owner replied that Uber cancelled but after I checked with Uber, they said CDG cancelled. So who is telling the truth?

The place is incredible… my husband and I have been here many times but you have to be very patient…. The wait is long. We arrived and had to add ourselves in a list and there were 42 people in-front of us…. Waited around an hour to be seated…. The tofu is amazing and the small dishes are incredible. It is worth the wait. If you like to drink a hey have a really good rice wine. If you are vegan there are many things you will be able to eat here. I totally recommend it :)

!!! Probably the best Korean food I had in the US. I heard from my coworkers that this place is usually packed and people had to wait in lines for tables, and I can confirm that. We were dotted around 5:20, by 5:30, there was already a long line of people waiting. It was amazing to try many of their dishes but my absolute fav was the beef stew plus rice cakes. Service was amazing!

Ok the cod roe omelette was truly divine, I did not know egg could turn into this. The egg had a fluffiness beyond what I've ever seen before. The cod roe inside and green tea mayo on top blended together to create an irresistible burst of flavor, full of umami and creaminess. Absolutely incredible. The sundubu however, it kind of missed. We got 3 sundubus, the spicy one was the best but even that one wasn't great. The other two were watery and flavorless. The mushroom rice was ok, I do like the mushroom elevation. Will be back to actually try their main dishes and the cod roe omelette again, when I'm ever in the mood to wait 1.5 hours for a table.

Would you like an incredibly delicious, reasonably priced meal ? If you like Korean food, this is your new go-to place. Cho Dang Gol makes its own wonderful tofu -- I converted an "I do not really like tofu" person into a "this is so delicious !" person with just one lunch ! If you arrive as they open at lunch, there will be a line, quickly accommodated and in fifteen minutes, the restaurant will be completely full.......so, what to do ? Well, either line up just before 12, or wait until 1, when the initial rush is over and suddenly the place is empty. I love the small dishes that accompany Korean meals. Know that they differ from day to day, but I loved one so much, they gave me more... So you see, this is a place that will see a lot of me. They are just as nice if you are by yourself, or with friends.

4 of us went to CDG at 6pm and waited about 20 mins for a table on a Tuesday night which wasn’t too bad.Great service and decent food. The Seafood & Scallion Pancake was delicious and I really like the Cod Roe Omelet a lot. The Octopus Flavored Rice was a little bland to my liking. Their CDG Seafood Jeongol (Hot Pot) was tasty and definitely can be shared among four people.
