On a Tuesday evening at 6pm, there were at least 8 parties waiting ahead of us. After 45 minutes, we were seated. The food was amazing. Totally worth the wait. Portions were perfect. Everything tasted authentic and fresh. I can't believe I didn't bother trying this place before. Can't wait for my next visit.
I would like to applaud the remarkable improvement in the menu compared to last year. The makgeolli was absolutely delicious—just like the authentic flavors of Seoul. Everyone was also incredibly kind and welcoming.
The hype is real, Cho Dang Gol is great. The only problem is that everyone knows it too, so getting in for dinner is nearly impossible without either a long wait or queueing before it opens. Lunch is easier to get in - was there 15 minutes before opening at noon on a weekday and was seated straightaway, the restaurant filled up almost completely in the next 20 mins or so.
