Chubby Crab - Asian Wok & Cajun Kitchen

Came here on a whim and so glad we did. I’m from Louisiana so always a little hesitant to order seafood from places but Chubby Crab knows what’s up. The fish was awesome, great seasoning, great batter. Service is outstanding too. Checked on us twice and even helped when cleaning up. Also love the music choice and decorations. Great vibes all around. Best wishes, and we will be back each time we visit nyc.

Staff seems nice, food is alright. The fried rice with chicken was 90% rice, while I expect at least some vegetables or a good amount of chicken. Had a few small egg shells in my food or extremely hard rice, which bothered me a bit. I am a bit confused why we didn't get plates when getting the food and instead just got the to-go version without a bag, but it helped in the end, because we had to pack a part up because we got much food. This also makes the price good.

Wow do these guys know how to fry fish! Delicate, flaky, moist, crisp, delicious.
Only cricisms: just a tad excess taste of baking powder/soda. And the onion rings seem like the same supplier as used by Burger King. Which I love, when I go to BK. Just expected location made, here; so just be aware going into it if u order that. Still, excellent Fish & O-Rings

I ordered shrimp and potatoes. It was nice to have a variety of sauces so I could change the flavor. It was really delicious.

So good! The seafood boil is flavorful and healthy. I like to add broccoli to the boil since the Cajun flavor gets into the veggies so perfectly. The ambiance is no-frills, but that's also why you get the most affordable seafood boil in Manhattan. I did a pickup order, and everything was prompt and easy to bring back home. It was a fun experience and they give you all the tools so you don't get messy after eating it. Support a local business - I definitely recommend!

Came here for seafood boil and ordered the sample the sea. We added some corn and egg and split it among 3 ppl. The portion was super generous, we were all super full at the end! Boil was fresh and flavorful, and service was excellent! Would definitely come here again!!

My son and I wanted to have a great seafood dinner and looked around Manhattan and were so lucky to have decided on the Chubby Crab. We ordered the “sample the sea” with the juicy sauce. It was pure foodie heaven. The massive tray comes with huge servings of snow crab, shrimp, mussels, clams, crawfish, along with tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked, corn, potatoes and broccoli. The incredible sauce was such a blend of amazing and complex flavours.

The owner served us and was incredibly sweet.

Do yourself and your friends a favour, make a reservation at this gem of a restaurant!!

My daughter and I are locals to Chinatown and we couldn't wait to try the Chubby Crab! We joined the rewards program and placed our order at the restaurant. The staff is extremely nice and the food was absolutely delicious! We both got boils. She got crawfish and I got snow crab legs and blue crab. I highly recommend this place!

1st time trying this place wanted a seafood boil ,I did a door dash order was a little skeptical but went for it I got snow crabs,crawfish,shrimps .Omg so happy I did it came fast ,For the price they give you a lot of food didn’t disappoint will be ordering from them again my new go to for seafood boil .
