Covacha is a lovely place with attentive staff and excellent, authentic Mexican food. The chicken enchiladas with dairy-free cheese and crema are highly recommended. The restaurant also offers vegetarian options such as vegan cheese and crema, as well as mushroom enchiladas. Guests have noted that the enchiladas with mushroom "tinga" and plant-based crema are delicious, and the presentation is enhanced by a little toothpick with a leaf to signal the plant-based version. The birria and ash guacamole are delicious and beautifully plated, making the slightly higher prices worthwhile. While some dishes, like the chicken flautas, are tasty and beautifully presented, prices can be higher, reflecting the restaurant’s location near Central Park and the high tourist foot traffic.
