Dim Sum VIP

I came here before the name change (when it was Dim Sum VIP). I had a great experience here! The staff was extremely friendly and the restaurant felt homey. The dim sum was served right after being freshly made, so everything came out hot! It all tasted delicious. They were popular for their cute custard-filled steamed buns that look like pigs, so we made sure to order that. I wasn't in the mood for anything, but saw the little bean paste buns from outside. I decided to go into the small cafe to buy one of these dishes. It comes in a container made of tin with a plastic see-thru lid. I grinned as the three buns sat in the container, pleasantly warm.

Julia is awesome! I was saddened when VIP Dimsum closed but glad Julia continued to run it with the same chef, staff and pretty much the same menu, with a few extra specials on the menu. It's still the same comforting environment, food and service I'm familiar with. Order anything and you won't be disappointed. My favorite include shrimp dumpling, sticky rice on lotus leaf, steamed pork bun, steamed rice rolls and the new steamed rice roll with crunchy bits inside.
