I was sitting outside of the restaurant for a few minutes at the outdoor tables they had, as the restaurant was too small to go inside with a stroller. No one came outside to take my order. So I called the restaurant and told them I was outside. I order take out. Since clearly they dont serve their outside tables. Once I got my ordered I opened it up to take out the empanada to feed my two year old son and the waiter rushed out to tell me that I couldn't sit there and eat our food that we just ordered from there as it was take out. I have never heard of such a thing. I will definitely not be returning if that's how they treat people.

The chicken was too dry, the food was very pricey for the quality and the service wasn’t very friendly.
In response to your reply I’m talking about the Ajiaco also, not only the arroz con pollo, this is not about the money is about the quality of the food.
I don’t mind paying for an expensive food if it’s worth it and in this case, It wasn’t.
If I’m already there and paying for my dish, I’m going to eat it. I never said it was inedible, just that the chicken was dry and the dishes were plain, with not much flavor. I didn’t see the point of ordering something else or saying anything if it would be the same. I also didn’t feel comfortable speaking up when the staff didn’t seem very service‑oriented. I’m just sharing my personal experience as a COLOMBIAN so others can know , maybe someone else will find your dry chicken and plain ajiaco delicious if they didn’t eat a different one before.

I went with my girlfriend a few days ago, and it was amazing, the food was delicious.
Our waitress, Luisa, was very kind and attentive! She made us feel very welcome. We will be back definitely.

Such a cozy and welcoming Colombian spot! My mom and I stopped in for lunch and were really impressed. We ordered the steak and the soup/salad lunch specials, along with a beef empanada—and everything was delicious. The space is warm and inviting, and the service was kind and attentive. Highly recommend if you're looking for authentic Colombian comfort food in the UES!
The Ajiaco (a traditional Colombian chicken and potato soup) was especially comforting—rich, flavorful, and super satisfying. Perfectly warming and hearty without being too heavy. The steak was also excellent—juicy, tender, and well-cooked. The empanada had a crispy shell with a flavorful beef filling, and the portions were generous for lunch.

Delicious food, great menu. One of our favorite UES restaurants. Staff is warm and friendly. They also pay close attention to dietary restrictions which is much appreciated. We can't wait to return!
Hi there.. Food was good enough. got a Delivery today. portions are relatively smaller than what you’ll find on a tipical colombian Restaurant. got only an small portion of chicharron. and somehow the beans where not seazoned as they would be on tipical colombian restaurant but they were Delicious nonethless. the steak was well cooked. and on point. what I liked the most was. the sweet plaintains ... Maibe next time I ‘ll get more Chicharron but for now. food was on point....
The location is very snug but they make it work perfectly on the upper East side. The service was excellent and the server was very attentive. It wasn't really a hot day but the air conditioner was not sufficient for a table of 5 and a place with three sets of guests.
The food was the centerpiece and it was excellent. Everything was cooked and tasted like five star restaurant food. My wife actually finished her steak and my son ate all his chips and guac. I loved my three beef tacos. Our relatives also love their food. They give a pretty large portion of food also. My son compared their french fries to McDonald's and said their fries were better.

The food was delicious, and either it's a well kept secret or 7pm is a quiet time in that particular restaurant. The service was kind, and efficient. Maybe a little hands off for the level of not busy they were, but also not pestering.
Really enjoyed the bandeja paisa here! As a celiac it’s nice to have the gluten free guarantee even for foods I know don’t typically have gluten. Service is great and friendly. Feels like to hear Colombian Spanish, made me feel right at home.

Food is ok, I liked it but the service is not the best. I don't demand a red carpet but a great smile and a nice welcome face would make a great difference.

Best place to get yellow corn arepas. I recommend the ropa vieja— my favorite is with beef. Don’t leave without a cup of coffee and dessert.
