When I first stepped foot the cashier was so polite and patient with me, it was my first time ordering and I loved the food, it was very good. I will be coming back! Loved the experience here at 14th st.

Honestly tried this place just for the hype. The Colombian empanadas ARE NOT Colombian style. Not even by a long shot. The empanada was so greasy and the ground beef was just overloaded and overwhelming. The register person was so impatient and obnoxious. I don't think I'll ever step foot in this establishment again.

This place is severely overpriced. The empanadas are frozen and tasteless. Their hot sauce is spice, which was the only redeeming feature. I would not recommend to go to this place if you are considering it.

Late night snack that’s yummy if you’re drunk. Seems to be packed late at night but the empanadas are fresh. Had the pernil and the chicken I definitely enjoyed the pernil more.

This location is a true gem of east village. Their empanadas are always full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The employees were very nice and attentive even for takeout orders. They got my order correct, and it came with a generous amount of sauce as sides. I will gladly be back :)

The menu includes an amazing and tasty variety of empanadas, tapas, soups, salads, sandwiches, sides, desserts, and drinks, as well as a “Typical Colombian Breakfast”. The sitting area is fabulous to enjoy your meal and to people watch, as a mix of music jams. You are taken care of by the low-key friendly crew.

A friend told me about this place and I just had to try it. All empanadas I tried were incredible. I had the jerk and cheese, reggaeton, and el jefe. All were moist and delicious. They give you sauces on the side. We’re ready in 6-10 min.

This is the worst location. The green sauce is watered down and they don’t have the guava shake. Also it’s so small can’t even sit and enjoy the food. LES one is much better

How Empanada Mama has anything short of 5 star rating is beyond me. This company brings nourishing foods to all people with lots of options and diversity for dietary restrictions. Good vegetarian options that are FILLING like the lentil soup, plantains, spinach empanada, even the salad has a generous portion of avocado. And it’s always quality and yummy. And affordable. And they stay open late when everything else closes and the only other option is a slice of pizza. When I finish a night shift and everything’s closed and I have no energies to cook, there’s Empanada Mama. Thank you!!!!

The food is cool and great flavors. I had the guava shake once and can't stop thinking of it everytime I go there, some locations don't have it. Guava shake first, then passion fruit second in ratings.
