There are many restaurants in NY serving Italian seafood but none as simply prepared and as authentic/delicious as ESCA - crudo superb, grilled octopus and baked clams - beyond!! Spaghetti arogosta (lobster) spaghetti Neri none better.Ask for olive oil ... it's green andLuscious. Happy to see how busy they were sans theatre

Well worth the wait. This Restaurant was the only busy one on this neighborhood. I wonder why, hmmm? Friend from out of town wanted Sand dabs, go figure, it's just another flat fish in the flounder family. I sure was wrong, it was pan fried and not overcooked, also the portions are not your typical fu fu appetizer size portions, these were Generous portions for eaters.

Firstly, the staff is SO nice. Very welcoming, accommodating, and had excellent service (our server was Santiago! Thank you to him!)
