Essex PearlI have been to this place twice and they did not disappoint me in any way. Happy hour is the best time to go after work because of the $1 oysters. If you are a beer fan, try the Radeberger. The Manila Monkfish Skewers and Grilled Cambodian Pork Belly, they are a good pair with the beer.Make reservations on line to secure a seat just to be sure. Also, an fyi…this place is not cheap so budget around $60 for a good meal and libation.
More people should know about Pearl. Eaten here three times now, food is consistently well above the already high NYC average. Dishes manage to amazingly be both innovative and also respectful to the traditions of the countries they’re inspired by -congrats chef. Cocktails also excellent, thank you bartender. And our waiter was charming, insightful, and accommodating. Bravo ???
