A solid location for a quick lunchtime bite. Sandwiches, soups, salads, you name it, all for a (relatively for NYC) affordable cost. Portion size isn't anything to get too crazy about, but it is possible to get your lunch for around $10. Salads can be personalized, chopped, and ordered to-go.

The Europa Café on seventh Avenue coming right out at the Penn station is not to be missed. It's my family's annual treasure to get off the train from New Jersey come to the city and eat breakfast at Europa south. I had a complete breakfast with omelette , toast and hashbrowns made fresh with spinach, tomatoes and onions for only 6.99 including coffee... And this is New York City - just crazy. Affordable and quaint. Not over crowded the times I visit, which is a good thing for NYC. They can be found all over the city. Simple menu, tasty salads. If the food wasn't satisfying, I wouldn't spend money there.
