Absolutely perfect. We had the tiramisu.
Just decadent with simplicity.

I love Ferrara! The classic Italian American vibe. I always come here for dessert after a meal in Chinatown. I love the sfogliadelle, pasticiotto, cannoli and Italian rhum cake!

My Ferrara Bakery & Cafe Review
Had a fantastic time at Ferrara Bakery & Cafe! The cannoli and classic cheesecake were absolutely incredible, seriously some of the best I've ever tasted. Even though it was busy on a Thursday night, the service was decent. Highly recommend for amazing Italian desserts!

They have wonderful pastries and the cheesecake is one of the best I had in New York so far, just short of the one in Dante's Cafe. But be aware, they put $5 charges of everything per person if you sit down and these prices are not mentioned on the website. So: for two slices of cheesecake and an affogato I paid $ 47 plus tip. If money doesn't concern you, enjoy! If it does take the pastries outside and sit somewhere nice.

Historic Italian pastry shop, pasticciotti and Sfogliatelle doc.
Prices a little high.
There is no space to enjoy coffee and dessert standing.

Had probably the best chocolate cannoli here. The ricotta filling was sooo yum! The tiramisu was decent.
Great service and atmosphere!
Spent about 14USD for 2 items.

Best pastries I have ever enjoyed. Nice, welcoming shop and cozy dining room. The owner came over and chatted with us, which was fun. Ferrara Bakery is a home run!

Ordered their 12 pack sfogliatella via goodbelly. I live in Florida but from NJ/NY area. I know Ferrera's bakery and enjoyed their Italian pastries for years.
Well the frozen sfogliatella I got from them certainly didn't come close to what a sfogliatella should taste like.
While baking they smelled like rancid oil. I had placed them on a rack and the drippings when cooled turned solid with a white color. I tried one and it was terrible. I threw all six in the trash.
I have six more in the freezer. I'll try baking those, hopefully with better results.
An expensive lesson.
