They rode down the elevator quietly. Were they smiling? Anxious? It was difficult to detect any emotions underneath the masks covering their faces. They crossed the lobby and slowly turned the knob on the front door. Hesitatingly, they stepped outside. The air smelled of summer. Forgtmenot is a lively restaurant with a character-filled atmosphere, often filled with locals and their dogs both inside and outside. The bar is famous for its large, sweet, and strong drinks like the cold margarita and watermelon margarita, which many find very refreshing. The food, including the steak frites and the Travis bowl, is praised for its deliciousness, with the steak cooked perfectly medium-rare and the chimichurri sauce adding a nice kick. The space is not too loud, especially in the back, though it can get quite noisy later in the evening. The staff are extremely kind and helpful, going out of their way to assist customers. The decor, resembling a casual surf shack, adds to the overall charm. Owned by the same group as nearby Kiki's, Forgtmenot has become a popular neighborhood spot that offers a great dining experience filled with history and flavor, attracting both regulars and newcomers alike.
